Uconnect 8.4 infotainment system issue. Unit has delaminated and is not functioning properly because of delaminating issue. Unit will cycle through options in infotainment system because of de-lamination without interaction. Infotainment system is hub for all important settings of vehicle. Some features will not function properly if the infotainment system isn-??t working properly. This is a KNOWN widespread issue with Uconnect systems. Please act and recall these infotainment systems to be replaced by Uconnect/vehicle manufacturers.
Screen delaminating. It started in the top left corner of the screen and progressively is getting worse. I-??ve read this is a common issue. Unable to select any controls. It Automatically selects controls itself at a rapid pace. Also with selecting controls it causes it to automatically call random contacts. It causes several distractions and is frustrating when you can-??t use half of the the functions that Are connected with the screen. Such as A/C and heating functions. The air turned on full blast one day while driving and fogged up the front windshield causing me to have to pull over and try to get the screen to shut down.
The Uconnect screen is delaminating and causing the screen to be completely useless. It calls people randomly and does not allow you to call 911 in an emergency. It also renders GPS useless. This is a known problem in this vehicle and it needs to needs to be taking care of! It is a safety hazard when the screen is going bazerk and you are driving! It is extremely distracting and you cannot use 90% of the functionality of your dash!
The Head Unit which controls, among other things, the -??SOS-?? calling system, the GPS, the cellphone (for calling 911) has a membrane screen which delaminates and causes the unit to make all kinds of eronious calls, GPS location changes and disabling events. I feel this is a serious safety concern and that the mfr. (Delphi) should voluntarily recall these units for replacement.

The touchscreen is turning on and off heated seats, on and off radio, phone, then requesting screen clock be reset. If car is cold this does not happen until it warms up. Safety issue when these things come on and off without notice.
Mopar radio display has delaminated across the top portion of the screen. This is creating "ghost touching" on my screen preventing me from accessing and controlling full functionality of my vehicle including, but not limited to, hands free travel, climate controls of car, including seat functions and temperature regulating for air or heat, do not disturb/notifications and time functions, car apps including the car manual/vehicle user guide, SOS functionality, back up camera usage. The screen goes haywire when turned on and resets driver controls.
The screen in my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee is bubbling up. It seems that the screen is delaminating. Because of the delamination, the screen thinks that I am touching it. My radio station will change, the clock settings keep coming up and disappearing, and the top portion of the screen where it has delaminated does not work at all. When I touch the screen, it does not work. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. I am concerned that the electrical will fail and cause my car to lock up. My safety is put as risk with the chance that the screen fails and causes an electrical issue. This also puts everyone else at danger if the car malfunctions and I lose control on the roadway. I called the dealership and they stated that this is a known problem in the model and year of my Jeep. There was no warning that this problem was going to occur.
There is a bubble on the touch screen located on the dash. Because of this the screen is constantly getting pressed. It will change the radio station. It will change the navigation route, destination and the map completely. It will randomly call someone. Because the screen is constantly moving and getting pressed I am unable to use the radio, navigation system or any other feature that is included with the screen. I have been in route using the navigation system and it completely changed my destination. I was driving so I was unable to change it back. I had to pull over, turn the power off to the screen and just use my phone. I have multiple videos of this happening if needed.
Uconnect Navigation Touchscreen bubbled, it is available for inspection upon request. Happens multiple times a week. It has put me at risk when driving because it's distracting and takes my attention away from driving because it makes multiple changes on the screen. Screen changes settings, makes phone calls on its own, or stops navigation without any input from me. It still has not been inspected. Problem first appeared a year ago after screen bubble got bigger.
Almost four months have passed since this recall was announced. It has to do with the high-pressure fuel pump which could fail and introduce debris into the fuel system potentially causing fuel starvation. This could result in loss of motive power which can cause a vehicle to crash without prior warning. We need to continue to drive this vehicle. We keep checking to see whether parts are available to remedy this situation, but they are not. How long do we have to live with the fear of having a crash due to this unrepaired recall?
Radio is going crazy with volume, stations, conecting to any phone in or near de vehicle, dialing and haging on its on. Seat heating turning on all the way up and steering wheel aswell. A/C starts on its own and keeps changing hot to cold and maxing it as well as turning it off. It all started in July 2022 and it keeps doing on and off.
Was making a left turn and the vehicle lost power mid turn. It has done this once before while I was driving straight. The car does not shut off or sputter. On this occasion I pushed the start button to cut the car off and restarted and it was fine however I could have been hit because the car lost power as if it was in neutral or another gear while I was turning on a protected flashing yellow. The previous time when it randomly lost power when I was driving. I put it in park, then drive and it was fine but I was on a busy street when this happened and could have been rear ended.
The 8.4 UCONNECT screen is delaminating. It is a known issue with FCA vehicles and FCA is denying they know anything about it because it is a very expensive head unit to replace.
The UConnect screen has a bubble from delamination of the screen components, and has been causing distracting "phantom" screen touches, flashing the screen between apps, and making unintended changes to screen settings. The driver is forced to ignore whatever the screen is doing until it's safe to divert attention. This problem was confirmed by a Jeep dealer, but Jeep customer service declined to pay to fix the faulty component.
My radio console is starting to delaminate causing my console to constantly be jumping around and unable to use. Jeep dealership is aware of the problem. It poses as a threat for daily driving to hands free options as well as unable to use my navigation features, climate settings and most anything dealing with the touchscreen. This issue needs to be recalled or fixed.
Uconnect infotainment screen is delaminating. The layers of the screen are coming apart internally and forming what looks like a large bubble. This is causing buttons to get pressed by themselves, with no human interaction. The faulty screen is extremely distracting while trying to drive, especially at night, and causes a great safety hazard. The screen controls many things in the vehicle including radio, navigation, HVAC, phone calls, etc.
Unknown The display panel lamination is becoming unlaminated and my phone display calls the right number but displays the wrong contact picture and disconnects from Bluetooth randomly which causes unsafe conditions where I have to take focus off of driving to correct which means in that moment I am no longer operating hands free which defeats the purpose of hands free operations. The date below is not correct for it is like I said random. But the form made me choose a date.
Infotainment, HVAC car control screen de-lamination. Screen bubbling up and randomly selecting functions that are not user selected. Like ghost button presses randomly while driving the car.
