Have a 2018 jeep grand Cherokee that audio and, computer control screen is delaminating, causing erratic behavior of the stereo and other random controls like the heated seats turning on and off caused by the delamination of the screen shortly out of the manufacturer warranty of 36,000 miles and I took it to the dealership and they told me it was not covered under warranty and that I would have to pay for a new computer controlled screen I feel this is a safety concern because it can cause distracted driving

We bought this vehicle brand new in 2018, since then it has had an entire new engine, numerous check engine lights and safety recalls. There are now 2 recalls that pose a risk for my family and I with no solutions provided. Chrystler refused to buy back the vehicle or provide us with a loaner while a solution is not available. This type of business is not right. I-??m left with an unsafe vehicle.

U connect touch screen delaminating screen. Causes several distractions while driving. Moreover, It controls heating and defrost system which controls and severely impacts driver visibility in certain driving conditions. Especially during rain, snow very hot and cold weather conditions. It-??s a fact that we can-??t control the elements. As well the backup camera is affected by disabling backup alerts. It-??s over $1k to repair and not covered under warranty. This is a common problem for the make and model vehicle and there are several forums inquiring about the same issues. Statistically this is a problem that-??s deserves immediate attention. shortly after my purchase we experienced a pandemic that caused a financial strain. It-??s unreasonable for the maker to put the burden on consumers. When they choose produce a products that-??s effects the well being of there customers. This is the 4th Jeep I-??ve purchased I have never dealt with this until now. so why would they change the vendor unless it was minimizing manufacturing cost making this an ethical issue as well

Entire front leather dash has delaminated and separated by bubbling up from the original glue not holding. Also, the exhaust resonators (both sides) on my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is bad on both sides and blowing out fiberglass from my exhaust pipes all over the backside of my car. I-??ve read on multiple forms that several customers have encountered the exact same issues on their Jeeps as well. Is this issue being addressed and covered by the manufacture? If so, I definitely would like this to be taken care of.

The U CONNECT screen is de-laminating and this is leading to ghost presses on the screen. If my phone is connected, it will start randomly calling people. The entertainment system will change inputs, stations or tracks at random - allowing up to 4 seconds before switching. The automatic climate control will change fan speeds and function constantly. The GPS navigation screen will not stay up and tries to reroute while driving or switch to another function. This is not just an glitch every once in a while, this is constant change - I have a 20 second video showing the screen changing to the climate controls, turning off the auto function, change fan speeds 4 times, change the vents being used then going back to auto and then changing the screen to the media screen and then putting the time change up. My kids are saying the car is possessed. This behavior is very distracting to the driver and is a hazard. Other safety issues include not being able to use navigation to get to an unknown location and not being to use hands free calling. Does not matter if the car is moving or stationary.

The "UCONNECT" touch screen infotainment system is delaminating which causes rapid and continuous "ghost" touches. This is extremely distracting and unnerving. This will occur on any screen. Radio, navigation, climate control, sos, etc. are all affected by this. When this occurs it is very difficult to concentrate on driving due to the rapid succesion of ghost touches.

The screen has been doing phantom touches most likely due to the bubble forming under the top layer (currently getting it diagnosed for delamination). This is a safety risk due to the distraction from the changes on the screen and the fact that it will cause me to look at the screen and not at the road. The radio, phone and also GPS all are affected currently. I am not able to use handsfree for my phone and the GPS is not usable as well. Like I said, the vehicle currently has an appointment set up to be diagnosed so it can be submitted to UConnect. There is no warning messages for this.

EXTREMELY UNSAFE CONDITION. The lamination on the monitor is peeling/cracking and obscuring the information shown on the electronic read out. For functions such as GPS, this is very dangerous. I spend more valuable seconds trying to read the monitor (eyes off the road) in trying to understand and read the data. Luckily, I haven't had any incidents, but I would guess there have been multiple accidents caused by this very fixable condition in most Jeep's of this vintage. I implore you to initiate a recall ASAP.

My uConnect touchscreen started delaminating since end of year 2022. It has gotten worse where it interrupts my driving most of the time. Due to the screen delimitation, the radio irregularly switches the channels itself every 1 to 2 seconds; the AC/heat screen attempts switch the setting to front windshield or other air settings to a maximum airflow; the main setting screens attempts to call 911 emergency during many of my driving events; it attempts to change my clock settings-??etc. Most of the interior settings are in the uConnect touch screen pages, no way I could get my settings stay AS IS from the denomination. It is nearly impossible for the drivers to concentrate during their driving from this irregular activity. I have contacted FCA and Jeep dealership but I have not gotten any resolution to resolve the issue. I have searched the sites for the issue and most of the 2018 Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Ram owners seems to have the same issue. However, the dealership is not taking the issue seriously. The irregular radio interruption is very dangerous to the drivers and I believe it should be a recall. (I wish I can upload a video to show the uConnect self irregular settings)

The computer screen (radio, climate control, back up camera, etc.) The screen has a mind of its own. It will go on and off by itself all the time. It changes the radio stations and climate control by itself. The back up camera will be on and then as we are baking up it goes out, or won't work at all. Its very dangerous and distracting for the driver. In contacting Jeep, they will not cover the cost to repair or replace. We even purchased an extended Certified Added Care Warranty when we purchased the Jeep and they won't cover it either.

The stop/start feature on my Jeep has just stopped working. The battery has been checked and rechecked and replaced. It doesn't work. The biggest problem now is the 8.4 touchscreen display that malfunctions. The GPS is connected to this along with the radio and backup camera. Other features include the phone, climate control, and other functions. The phone will randomly select contacts I am not trying to call, and the GPS will randomly set locations I am not trying to go. The screen will jump from one application to another which is extremely distracting while driving. I've tried turning the screen off completely but this isn't helpful if I'm actually using my navigation. It's dangerous.

Screen started to delaminate two years ago. Slowly started glitching. It now glitches constantly while driving. It randomly turns on and off, calls people, turns seat heaters on and off, changes channel, turns back up camera on and off etc. This is a major safety concern while driving. When I researched this online it appears to be a very widespread issue for all 2018 Jeeps. I have also had to replace my headlights 3 times in the last 1 1/2 years. I feel there is a correlation. I don't understand why Jeep is not recalling this issue.

Infotainment Center randomly changes modes, unable to use Bluetooth as it will call 911 or contacts. This presents a safety issue due to inability to have hands free capabilities. Navigation system is inoperable as changes screens, loses destination. Climate control turns items off and on without me selecting any feature. Screens flip around without my interaction. Started when had around 40k miles on vehicle. Overall malfunction of entire system.

The navigation display in my jeep is starting to delaminate which is cause ghost touches and the screen will change on its own, mess with settings and it can cause serious safety issues and is distracting to the driver. This should be a recall and not the driver-??s responsibility to fix.
