Drove one block from home and the battery voltage spiked to 17V. Warning sounds and messages posted on the odometer. Parking assist off; acc unavailable-service required; wipers activated even though turned off; transmission locked in D; radio screen blacked out/came back on; message read to stop, press the brake, turn engine off then place in park. Red battery icon, anti skid icon, engine icon lit on odometer plus warning sounds non stop. Took directly to the dealer where the tech tried to get a reading on all of the trouble icons. Nothing was posting on their equipment. It was decided the vehicle may need the alternator replaced. Was told to continue driving and if this happens again to turn the engine off and restart the vehicle and keep driving.

Received 2nd notice of recall for sun visor wiring -P36/NHTSA 14V-391 contacted the Jeep dealership 3 times and each time they stated I'm on "the list" to be called when the parts come in. According to my last conversation with them, they stated "there is no list"! why am I getting two different stories and why am I wasting my time? dealership does not know how to treat their customers or are not correctly informed as to the guidelines of how to process recalls. I'm beginning to rethink my next purchase!
The entire stereo screen all of the sudden "blacked out" not allowing any controls to work. Every 20 seconds the blacked out screen goes blue with a message to "please insert update usb". the bill luke dealership states that this is not covered under the warranty and no recalls on this. However, states this problem is common requiring the entire head/stereo unit to be replaced. Recall #P6/NHTSA 14V-634 states that depending on the alternator failure mode and timing that the ESC (electronic stability control) or ECM (electronic control module) can be disabled. Even though there are not other issues with this Jeep at this time, who is to say that this recall is not affecting the stereo/head unit? it is a possibility. I should not have to pay to replace a stereo/head unit in a new 2014 vehicle that stopped working by a defect that is no fault of mine.

Since purchasing this vehicle in April of 2013 there have been six safety related recalls on the vehicle. The first two were quickly fixed. Since then, and over the last year we had accumulated an additional four recalls. Each comes with a warning from Chrysler that this is an "important safety recall notice." The recalls are as follows; sun visor wiring occupant restraint control module brake booster alternator we have made at least four trips into auto nation Chrysler Dodge Jeep in at 120 116th ave ne bellevue, wa 98004 to try and get these items fixed. Each time we are told the parts are not available and they have no estimate as to when the parts may be available. They have been pretty dismissive and do not seem to give the impression that they understand this is their responsibility to correct.
