The vehicle jumped out of gear and into reverse while the consumer was helping her elderly mother out of the vehicle, the vehicle knocked the passenger down and ran over her leg (consumer is no longer the owner of the vehicle).
Vehicle was parked and unoccupied when it rolled down the driveway, pulling a consumer under the tires, does not say that any damage was done to vehicle, claim 50-0439-770.
Consumer drove out to mailbox, put vehicle in park, got out to get mail, and vehicle started rolling, consumer attempted to get back into vehicle to stop it, however was run over and injured, claim 49-2082-476.
The consumer started the vehicle while it was on park; after he started it, he stepped out from the vehicle. Suddenly the vehicle jumped from park to reverse and hit the consumer and the garage, consumer was injured in accident.
The consumer started Jeep, then put it in park, got out to pick up some trash in street, Jeep took off backwards, it a tree, then started forward and hit a tree in front of it, she tried to catch the car but when she reached for it stumbled and fell in the street, hurting her knee.
Consumer put vehicle in park, got out and took six to eight steps and then realized that vehicle was rolling backwards onto the curb and then hit a tree and stopped, consumer then noticed that the gear shift was between neutral and drive, consumer states incident happened several more times, but was able to stop it, consumer no longer owns vehicle.
State farm insurance stated, insured was attempting to back out of her garage, when she had tried to shut the door it caught onto a flower pot. As she was attempting to get out to move it, the vehicle dept going and insured tried to hit the brake but hit the gas and she hit the garage door. 46-0198-756
Consumer started Jeep, then put it in park, got out. Jeep took off backwards, hit a tree, then started forward and hit tree in front of it, consumer tried to catch the car but when she reached for it stumbled and fell in the street hurting her knee.
Pulled into the parking garage and parked her car. Later went back to leave and saw that her car was missing. She tracked down a police officer and they told her that she must not have put her parking brake on as it rolled back into another vehicle, damaging the bumper of the car behind hers. Her car was towed and only sustained a minor scratch.
