Having trouble with instrument and info screen lighting. Car vin number not covered in first recall. I see today they issued another recall and again my car is not covered in the recall. We have a major problem with Jeep
I purchased my 2022 Jeep Compass on March 26, 2022 and at the time it was functioning correctly, but about 7 months in to owning my vehicle the infotainment screen and gauge clusters (center clusters) went so dim that I could not see those screen anymore during the daylight. I called my dealership to report the issue, but at the time they did not know anything about it, so I had to deal with it till I did my own research and figured out that there was a recall going on. I called back took it in and they documented it, and communicated that currently no fix is released. A few months pass and my life and other in the vehicle are at risk each time I drive my car as I am unable to read the screen or properly use my infotainment center for directions and such. My safety and safety of others is extremely important and currently at risk each time I drive my car. There were a few messages that came up when I first bought my car that stated something about my screen needing service so I took it back to the dealership the next day (the message came up same day I bought my car) and they said that it was find and that nothing needed to be done. I am reporting this because my Jeep is impacted with this defect and I am needing it fixed as it is extremely dangerous as well as I bought my car new and expect the basic amenities to work properly. I do have an open case directly with Jeep but they are extremely hard to get ahold of.

Instrumentation not bright enough during daylight. Per NHTSA campaign ID number 23v058000. Mine was not included in the recall. They say they can-??t repair Jeep engineering working on it. How did they fix the recall cars?

The car is supposed to turn off and on when making stops because of the eco mode. There are times where the car will turn off at the red lights and will not turn back on automatically. Other times the car will just completely shut off when coming to a stop. The engine is killed. A complete restart to the car has to happen in order to make it work again. This issue is not identified through the Jeep dealership. They asked to record it next time it happens because their computer isn-??t reading any issues to the
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Compass. The failure mileage was 15,000.

Middle cluster of dashboard is extremely dim and unresponsive to attempts in settings to alter/fix it. We have 2 additional 2022 Compass models in our family, and all three have this issue. We are submitting separate reports for each VIN.
Dash lights, hazard button, radio stuck in night mode. Fuel gauge, speedometer, engine temperature and check engine/ tire pressure gauge are not visible in daylight. Creates a hazard when unable to see viable information like a flat tire, engine overheating, or low on gas. Tried to get it fixed but was told jeep currently has not issued a solution to fix it.
The cluster display on my vehicle is dim too non visible in full sunlight, daylight operating conditions. Automatic display functions turned off and manual brightness adjusted full, yet the dim to non existent backlight does not change. I been told this is a problem and FCA engineers are looking at, but at what priority. It seems that more and more of these complaints are showing up. There needs to be a recall to fix.
Screens in vehicle have dimmed and are unable to brighten. It-??s impossible to see while driving during the day. I have run out of gas on the highway, and almost caused an accident. My vehicle also automatically breaks and sounds an alarm as if I have had a collision, and almost caused another accident from being rear ended. Thankfully, one of the issues has been resolved and the dealership is fixing it (although my VIN number was not included in the recall at this time). I-??ve developed a fear of driving on the highway now so be cautious of purchasing until all these issues have been resolved.
Backlighting in dash cluster not working and makes it very difficult to see my fuel gauge, and temperature gauge, cruise control, and other items shown in gauge cluster.
The display, where the speed and other pertinent information is displayed, is in dark or night mode. It is very if not impossible to see during daylight hours. It is very distracting not to be able to see the information that you should be able to this vehicle.
While driving down the radio, my infotainment system began flashing on and off, failing to properly load. This can cause a distraction in the vehicle, leading to an accident. The dealer stated could not duplicate.
Upon start up of my vehicle I noticed my center display for speed, etc had turned itself to Spanish, but my radio was still in English. My forward collision warning, Lane keep assist, auto emergency braking, and front collision avoidance had all turned themselves off, and my auto park brake had turned itself on. After contacting a dealer they stated they had several complaints and to just turn them back on/off. Having these safety features turn themselves off can provide a fall sense of safety and cause accidents.
My cluster display has been on dark night mode since January 2023. I purchased the vehicle in April 2022. During the day, I cannot see the cluster display, and have missed gas warning lights, low tire lights, and other emergency lights due to the dimness of the screen. It is a hazard to drive as daylight is longer-- and the navigation screen is also impossible to see during daylight hours. There is no way to brighten either the cluster display or navigation system. The dealership confirmed the issue and instructed me to sit back and wait for an update in January, and there have been no updates yet.
During the day the the instrument cluster that has a speedometer doesn't have any brightness so I cannot see the speed or warning lights. I took my car to the dealership and they said there is no solution to that problem right now and multiple vehicles have the same issue since September last year.
For over six months, I have been unable to see my dashboard during the day. It is stuck on night mode. This causes the driver to be unable to see fuel gauage along with other warning lights that may be displayed. This is extremely dangerous and could cause unexpected vehicle stops on roadways. I have mentioned this to the dealership each time I am there and I'm told they don't know how to fix it.
