Service 4WD light came on gas cap light came on and it throws my parking brake on automatically when I stop and put into park. Even after transmission was replaced at 60,000 miles still have hard shifting problems as well. Vehicle died when I was at a stop light this is when the lights appeared.
Four times within the past two weeks the vehicle has shut off. Twice while turning into a busy intersection and twice while driving down the road. The vehicle instantly stalls and entire dashboard warning lights come on. Car takes 5-20 min to restart. There's no burning smell or sputtering/stalling when car shuts off. It is dangerous and almost was involved in accidents when stalling turning into a busy intersection.
Service gear shifter appears. Cannot see mph when this happens. Mostly while on the freeway and vehicle has been on the road for more than a half hour.
My "service shifter" lights came on. It seems to happen to Jeep vehicles only especially Cherokee Jeep. It started coming on while I was driving but it didn't come on after I turned off the ignition. From what I understood from the dealers, it seems to be a problem with the Jeep. I did my research, and some people had it replaced but continue to be an ongoing problem. The manufacturer should had a recall for it. I've had so many recalls in this vehicles since I got the car. Seems like every year I get a recall.
Had a burning smell coming from my vehicle and took it in to have it looked at. The mechanic said there is a leak in the oil filter adapter. When asked if this was a common problem he said yes and had contacted the main Jeep dealer in our area and they said the same as well. It breaks causing a leak which then the oil pools by the engine causing the oil to get hot and burn. The burning started after driving long enough to heat the motor. The fix is a $600 to $700 fix. The mechanic and dealer also mentioned this problem has been popping up in newer and used Jeep and is a common problem no matter how new or old the Jeep is.

Around May 2020 I was contacted by Jeep for a recall I had no idea about; got her in quick for the ptu input spline. There were no issues before this. The update was atempted but not completed. From there, I expereinced several issues. Problems started with alerts displaying for no reason while in motion and stationary. Took her to another dealer where they updated the software/looked at the power train. When "finished" I pulled out to my Jeep makng a popping noise and rough drive. When I parked, there was fluid spilling out of the differential and splattered over the rear of the Jeep. The dealer stripped a plug; wasnt seated correctly and popped off from pressure. Since then, I have had several other issues concerning the drivetrain to inclde hard jumping into gear (especially into 1st from a stop), rough down shift, and transfer case damage. Most recent issue is hard shift into drive and radiator leak. I did take her in before my powertrain warrany ran out but there was apparently no issue - they only drove it a few miles. I attribute all issues to incomplete maintenece and unknowledgable staff. The main issue being computers; when not serviced properly, a chain reaction occurs througout components. An issue can arrise where you least expect it. I contacted national level Jeep for help; no avail.
When starting my car it did not want to start and then it did and all this happened, check engine light came on, service transmission light 4WD temporally unavailable, service park brake, and it would not go into gear. At auto zone the code stated watchdog performance
About a week ago from today (10/25/2020) my car started having issues starting up. Everything blinks on my dash and acts like it doesn't want to start up. It says to service brakes and service transmission. I bought this car with almost 90K miles almost 2 years ago and it has 122K miles, first time I've ever had a problem. I saw that there is a recall for the transmission I am just unsure what to do about it.
While driving down the road several times the past month my vehicle has shut down. All lights stay on in car and headlamps etc. But the engine shuts down you lose power steering and when you go to crank the engine over it will do nothing for maybe 5 to 10 seconds before you here the belts and fans start to crank. Had the starter, alternator and battery tested. Replaced the battery and it still does it just not as often.
2015 is known for rust in the axisle.I have my vehicle in shop mechanic said the differiancial has a leak and may be rusted.is this a recall problem that the manufacture has ?.
Service shifter warning shows while driving, sometimes while starting vehicle will not allow to change gears without turning off and then back on multiple times.
When driving my vehicle jerks me extremely hard and engine makes loud thump noise. I've almost hit multiple vehicles in front of me from it julting me forward. I'm pregnant and it's extremely concerning.
At around 40,000 miles, touch screen/radio would randomly shut off and on, and service shifter comes on intermittently. Sometimes stays on constantly, sometimes comes on and off. Very frustrating as numerous people have reported these issues all over the internet, but Jeep has done absolutely nothing about it. Some reports even mention injuries involved in the issue. No vehicle should have these issues this commonly at a very acceptable low mileage.
There has been multiple times where I have been driving my car and all of a sudden my car will ding and an alarm on my screen pops up that says 'service shifter' and all of lights on my gear shifter turn on. I have been driving everytime it has happened. I can no longer see my screen where it shows speed, gas, tire pressure, oil, or anything. The only way to turn it off is to turn my car off and back on and sometimes I have been on an interstate where that wasn't possible to do immediately. I have tried contacting dealerships but nobody knows what is happening.
The service shifter lights comes on. I had the same problem last year in may and they stated they fixed the problem. Now I am having the same service light to come on. The light comes on while I am driving. But not every time. I am not sure exactly what they fixed but obviously they either really didn't fix the problem or put on bad parts
Upon slowing down around 20 mph the vehicle starts to accelerate requiring a harder press on the brake. If I let off the gas around 40 mph the vehicle maintains speed before it starts to accelerate. Eventually the vehicle will jolt and the service transmission light comes on putting it in a limp mode with little forward momentum when pressing the gas. The dealer said its the ABS control module but the factory wouldn't replace it because the dealer couldn't prove it was bad. At that point the 2015 kl trailhawk had around 33000 34000 miles on it and still under warranty.
