Consumer is having trouble scheduling appointment with the dealership in order to obtain recall repair (99V-340), the vehicle is exhibiting component failure at this time of the brakes.
Vehicle has experienced failure of the recall component on several occasions, the failure has caused other brake components to wear excessively as well. (00V-136)

Brake rotors repaired per recall notification, however after repair, needed to be serviced due to repair trouble, the right front caliper had the brake line twisted and repaired wrong.
Consumer contacted dealer in reference to recall 00V136000/ manufacturer's recall 879 concerning front brake rotors. Dealer stated parts were not available.
Recall # 00V136000 DaimlerChrysler/front brake rotors; no parts were available to correct recall campaign. Consumer was told that parts were on national back order. Consumer's name was taken and added to a list of other wating customers.
When applying brakes vehicle pulled to the left and did not stop. Vehicle crossed the center line, and hit another vehicle head-on. Also, driver's side airbag did not deploy. Dealer did not look at vehicle. There is currently recall 0013600 on the front brake rotors.
When applying brakes on a wet road Jeep sprung around and flipped over on driver's side. Owner believed that Jeep turned over due to faulty brake rotors. The Jeep was totalled.
Recall 00V136000/front brake rotors: Vehicle experiencing problem with vibration, taken to an independent repair shop. Consumer was informed that that vibration may be caused by faulty rotors. Notified manufacturer. Manufacturer, in turn, informed consumer that this vehicle was not covered under recall due to VIN.
While driving about 40 mph stepped on brake pedal to reduce speed or to stop vehicle, he could feel pedal pulsating. When the mileage is 9000 or 10000 front rotors will have to be replaced.
When consumer hit the brakes rotors snapped off of the hub. There were no injuries. Consumer said that the same part was recalled before. Consumer indicated dealer was replacing the rotors with the same defective parts.
Steering wheel vibrates when brakes are applied at highway speed. Was told rotors were warped. The first incident occurred at 25,000 miles, had rotors grounded. Is happening again now at 50,500 miles.
Front disc brake rotors make an annoying loud noise due to excessive wear from cracks in the pads. Later model vehicles were recalled for the same problem.
