Consumer replaced brake pads and rotors prior to recall 00V136, dealer is refusing reimbursement, the rotors replaced were not the corrosion resistant brake rotors that are involved in the recall.
Consumer received recall 00V136, however couldn't get repairs done due to lack of parts, the consumer replaced the rotors elsewhere because they were no safe to drive on, consumer is being refused a reimbursement because a certified dealer did not do the recall repairs.
Consumer took vehicle to have tires rotated. Vehicle wobbled when coming to a stop. A mechanic found that brake rotors were rusted & pitted. Consumer located a recall on the brake rotors 00V136000/ manufacturer's recall 879. But this state was not included.
Vehicle experienced recall component (oov-136) failure prior to notification, however the replaced rotors required replacement due to failure, owner requesting reimbursement for the first replacement, second replacement was completed per recall.
Vehicle experienced failure of the recall component (00V-136) prior to notification, as a result of failure the brake pads experienced excessive wear and required replacement, owner is requesting reimbursement of the rotors as well as the pads (attorney for consumer).
