Engine mounts sheared under normal conditions. Force from engine moving caused vehicle to pull into another lane. With 104 complaints on this site for model years 1994-1996, I think this is a major concern for the safety of all drivers on our highways. These bolts are defective!!!!!!
Three bolts to the engine mount broke while on freeway, and engine popped. Also, cooling fan cut transmission hose so that fan could not turn, and car overheated. Consumer had to exit immediately, and almost had an accident.
Consumer was traveling about 30mph on the highway and all of sudden heard noise. Vehicle started running rough and started to overheat. Engine mount bolts, all three of them broke off, and engine dropped two to three inches. The dealership has been contacted.
When driving bolt which held and supported engine in place came unattached, causing engine to fall down.also, a problem with driver's side door, door hinges came off which prevented door from closing. Consumer has contacted dealer.
The right side 3 main bolts supporting the engine mounts had snapped off. Took vehicle to mechanic. Indication was defects in bolts or bolts installed incorrectly which caused them to snap.
Traveling down a city street at 30 miles an hour we hit a small groove in the road and three of the four motor mounts snapped in half. Dealer claims that this only happens when vehicle hits something really hard or drops down on something hard. This was not the case. Please advise if there has been any other incidents of this happening. If the fourth bolt had let go 3 people could have been injured.

Structure, door : both doors have cracked welds where top & bottom hinges attach to chassis. Engine : bolts attaching right side motor mounts to engine sheared off (dealer implied factory support, demanded payment after work completed). Brakes disc : brake rotors rusted out well before 3 year, 36,000 warranty, dealer denied coverage. Brake rotors later subject to inspection & replace as needed recall, except owner repairs prior to recall not covered!
