I walked out to my vehicle in the driveway this morning and the windshield was cracked for no apparent reason. There were no visible chips near the crack. Crack extended from lower Driver's side corner upwards and across to almost the center-line. I also had to previously repair two chips in the windshield that did not appear to be from debris damage. It would appear that the windshield is defective as installed at the factory.
At 12,800 miles, while parked, a 18'' to 24'' windshield crack spontaneously appeared originating from the lower, passenger side edge, sloping up towards driver side. Nothing came into contact with the glass, and no chipped starting point is visible.
On interstate highway in South Dakota in September 2020, a small pebble came off the road surface creating a small chip on front windshield. Within one hour the windshield had a crack horizontally covering the entire windshield. This caused a complete one day delay on our vacation trip as the windshield had to be replaced at a local Safelite location. Certainly the delay was an inconvenience but more important we are concerned about our safety. This occurred when vehicle was less than 2 months old. Now it is July, 2021 and on another interstate a small pebble came off the road and caused a small chip in the lower left windshield. Next day the small crack started to run requiring a compete windshield repair AGAIN. If a small pebble can do this immediate damage, I fear the entire windshield could shatter causing a major accident or at worst a fatality. Safelite and Travelers Insurance have all documentation regarding the two incidents.

A small rock hit the windshield and a huge crack ran all the way across at 7,000 miles. Before I even Had time to replace the windshield another crack in a totally different location developed. Extremely unsafe!
The auto glass must all be restored. It-??s essential that the windows/ windshield be in good condition at all times. Driving with a chipped or cracked windshield may put me and my passengers at risk for injury in the event of a rollover or collision. I do not feel safe with this windshield as the crack spread halfway within 24hours.
Vehicle windshield started cracking at the top middle and moved down the windshield. We did not notice any rock hits to have caused it. Within 2 days the crack spread across the windshield on the passenger side to the edge. It has now started to do the same towards the drivers side. From researching for a replacement windshield it seems like the windshield cracking is a major issue for this vehicle.
The windshield was hit with a pebble at a low speed of around 35mph. There were no other cars within about 3 car lanes, so this was not a high-impact situation. However, the pebble cracked still cracked the windshield. The dealers confirmed that this model vehicle has a high incidence of cracked windshields that could potentially lead to injury or harm. I am worried that a truly high-impact rock would be life-threatening to the passengers.
Was traveling in the subject vehicle at approximately 40 mph on a well maintained county street when a small piece of gravel struck and cracked the windshield. The nearest vehicle was approximately 100 yards ahead, traveling in the same direction.
Was drive on the expressway at 55mph and something struck the windshield. A small chip was on the glass. I called my insurance company and they sent safelite glass to repair the chip. After trying to repair the chip a large crack developed and now the windshield has to be replaced. The windshield is not safe in my opinion. A small chip should not cause the windshield to be replaced.
Windshield wipers quit working all of sudden while driving when it's snowing causing one to pull off the road. It doesn't have too be a heavy snow fall. It's a very scary experience and has happened on several occasions during 2020 & 2021 winters
A tiny stone kicked up while driving on the freeway barely made a noise and cracked the windshield. I tried to have repaired and it spread. Can't believe how fragile the wind shield is from a be tiny stone. I took it to safelite and it immediately spread, now I have to replace
The windshield in this car is horrible! I've already had 2 cracks in it, one of which that has spread so bad it will have to be replaced. Only 15,000 miles on the car! never had anything like this happen with any other car I've owned.
Several times when it snowed this winter, I had issues with the windshield wipers freezing up on me. This seems like a major safety concern and should be addressed immediately.
Small pebble struck windshield and large crack occurred on driver side. Had windshield replaced on 2/25/21. On 3/20/21, another large crack appeared on drivers side for no apparent reason.
Driving on a two lane rural road during a snowstorm, a town snow plow stopped suddenly in front of me. When I stopped short, snow slid off of my roof onto the windshield. When this happened, my wipers stopped working altogether, leaving me with no forward visibility at all.
I have a 2020 Palisade and I live in Maine. Today was the third separate episode that my wipers completely disabled while I was driving. I spent quite a while prior to driving cleaning out the area near the wipers, and had to stop three times on my hour long commute to work to clear more ice/snow from the area where the wipers rest. The first two times I was unsuccessful and it was very difficult to see. The wipers were working when I left my house and became disabled as I was driving. The weather was a mix of sleet, rain and snow but with minimal buildup that would've caused the wipers to be disabled. I had no warning or visibility and an accident could have easily occurred. I have a video of the issue.
