The air bags in the car did not deploy. It was a front end collision. The car structurally held up very well but we are not quite sure why the air bags did not work?
While driving 55 mph vehicle was involved in a three car crash. As a result, vehicle was thrown across the median, crashing into a pole. Upon impact, dual air bags did not deploy. Driver sustained major head and neck injuries.
During a collision, the front air bags deployed, but did not inflate. The consumer suffered injuries to the face and upper torso. The consumer had the vehicle towed.(point of impact unknown).
While driving between 35 and 40 mph, the vehicle was involved in a front end collision, both air bag deployed, but the drivers seat belt, didn't restrain the consumer. The consumer stated the seat belt on the drivers side did not lock in the crash. The driver of the vehicle is 5ft 6in. The consumer broke both sides of his/her chest bone. When the driver side air bag deployed, it when in the air and did not protect the consumer from hitting the steering wheel.cw
While driving at 45 mph vehicle was involved in a head on collision. Upon impact, frontal airbags failed to deploy this resulted in driver and passenger sustaining injuries.

While driving at 45 mph consumer's vehicle rear ended another vehicle in front. Seat belts were worn, but seat belt did not hold. Also, driver's air bag did not deploy. Consumer suffered neck/back, and knee injuries. Police did arrive on the scene, and vehicle was totaled. Dealer and manufacturer were informed of the accident.
Consumer states that the vehicle was involved in a frontal collision at 40mph. Upon impact the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle was totalled. The manufacturer has been notified. Nlm
During a front end crash significant enough to total the car, the driver's air bag did not properly deploy. Upper part of plastic housing did not come off, allowing bag to only cover lower part of driver's body and permitting head to strike steering wheel. Fortunately, no serious injury was sustained.
While traveling on wet pavement, consumer and another vehicle collided head on, consumers seat belt did not lock, nor did the air bags deploy, consumer sustained several injuries and had to be rushed into surgery.
Driver was going under speed limit (35) and rear-ended another vehicle. Driver's head hit steering wheel, neither driver nor passenger air bags deployed. Police and paramedics expressed surprise that they did not.
When vehicle was involved in a frontal crash at approximately 40 mph frontal air bags failed to operate properly. I was in a car accident on 4/22/01. Mycar struck a telephone pole at a speed of 20-25 mph and sustained heavy front end damage and a broken front windshield. The airbags did not go off on either side. I feel this is a defect and would like to report this. I have contacted my Hyundai dealer and they have not returned my call as of yet.

Air bags did no deploy even though whole front end/headlights/ radiator, and bumper were torn off. Contacted dealer, and dealer said that it was normal because it did not hit right sensor button.
