This vehicle has experienced random braking incidents while being operated on highways and other roads. Additionally, within a span of five years, two doors have malfunctioned, and the electrical system required replacement. These defects have jeopardized the safety of my family. The vehicle was purchased new at the time of acquisition. Please help.

I'm experiencing several error messages on my 2019 Honda Odyssey, which include issues with the Brake System, Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Auto High-Beam, Road Departure Mitigation System, Collision Mitigation System, and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). These warnings are not only persistent but raise significant safety concerns, especially during instances where sudden braking is necessary due to a vehicle abruptly cutting in front. The constant illumination of the Brake System lights is particularly alarming as it casts doubt on the reliability of the brakes in critical situations. It appears that these problems are not isolated, as other Honda owners have reported similar safety risks affecting both drivers and passengers.

I have a 2019 Odyssey Elite and the following lights come on: Adaptive cruise control problem (ACC); Auto high-beam problem (A); Road departure mitigation system problem; collision mitigation system problem; lane keeping assist problem (LKAS); brake system lights. My problem is intermittent. I can make it go away most of the time by pouring water over the camera or spraying it from the windshield wipers fluid, then turning the car off and back on. That works sometimes. This makes me think it may be due to heat as the windshield (especially the black web lines around the camera) gets very hot. I also have noticed that at night or in cooler parts of the day the lights do not come on most of the time (have not kept a log of problem yet). One problem could be heat but cooling off with water does not always work. In that case, I lightly tap the camera case with a small rubber hammer (it is locate in front of my rear view mirror), turn the car off and back on, and the lights go out. Water plus tapping works and sometimes tapping alone works. This makes me theorize that the weather (heat in my case but I have seen other say it is cold due to snow) causes the cable/wiring within the camera to loosen (meaning weather [heat or cold] sensitive) cable connectors. Thus cooling with water and or light tapping fixes the problem until the next episode occurs. Who knows it could even be the windshield glass. As I said earlier, there is a black webbing type glass etching around the camera. Some say it is the battery, but I have yet to see a post where changing the battery fixed the problem. When the lights are off, all safety features (mitigation, adaptive cruise control, cruise control) work. I assume auto high beam and brakes system will work also. Forgot to add that when I turn the car off and back on, I have to press enter on the steering wheel a couple of times before the lights go off.

Over 20 times our van has breaked when it was not needed. This usually happens when going up a hill and turning, or when a car slows but not enough to need to break. In several instances we have almost been rear-ended due to the sudden breaking. We try to turn off the service, but it has to be turned off each time. With the amount of traffic we have in the area, this is very dangerous.

Brakes: there are several manufacturer communications on investigating brake vibration/judder, but it seems nothing has come from it. I have noticed this problem since owning the vehicle. The problem typically happens when on a downhill slope. Even light and smooth application of the brakes will cause a judder. It feels as if the brakes are being pumped on/off resulting in inconsistent braking action, but the pedal is held steady. It is an alarming feeling, but I can guarantee it will happen on a specific hill as I turn into my neighborhood. Another driver complained of the same downhill braking concern. It is something I have learned to live with, but that shouldn-??t be the case. Why is there a feeling of brake pressure release and reengaging with a steady brake pedal" Maybe it-??s the transmission causing it-??: Transmission: the software with this 9 speed transmission is abysmal. The tech bulletin that was posted merely resets the software. What we need is a software update, or better yet, a removal of the -??adaptation to customer-??s driving pattern.-?? You know what changes? My driving pattern. And my wife-??s, who also drives the car. You know how a car should adjust its shift points" The accelerator depression and rate of depression! This transmission feels like it is about to fall out of the bottom of the car on multiple occasions. I-??ve never driven a car with a worse automatic transmission shift response. My first automatic was a 1985. Not only does it sound like internal damage to the transmission during hard shift, but many times it leads to poor response to move the vehicle away from traffic. Variable Cylinder Management (VCM), has a high chance of causing significant damage to power train components with a negligible return in fuel economy. Thanks, Honda-??eyeroll.

There was no warning display on car today during the incidents. I pressed the breaks and with my foot on the breaks the car accelerates 3 times. I had a car in front of me which is why I stopped but no no one behind me to trigger the car to propel me forward 3 times despite my foot on the brakes. This is second time it does this. I took it in right away to the shop. The first time was a a couple of months before (May 2023) but I had a car behind me so I figured the car took over to avoid a bump in back-??but again my foot was on the brakes. And I had a car in front and In back, which could have caused an accident in front. Weird acceleration All the time: When you are at a stop and try to accelerate, the car stalls and then accelerates abruptly. Very dangerous when you have drivers behind you and in front. Collision Mitigation warnings keep popping up since 2022, but shop could not see the issue because the display disappears. It pops up randomly and disappears.

The contact owns a 2019 Hyundai Odyssey. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 MPH, the vehicle suddenly experienced Phantom Braking-?? and the vehicle decelerated to 60 MPH. The contact tapped the brakes excessively causing the sudden self-braking to cease. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who was unable to diagnose the vehicle. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 31,000.

I had new brakes put on my car my brakes for less 12,000 miles ago. I took my car back in today my front left brake is cracked and the caliper was blue indicating it was getting extremely hot. I have taken my vehicle in three times for an issue with the radio because I can hear others talking but they cannot hear me. The radio has not work since I bought the car. Also, there are times when I push the gas that the car stalls for a few seconds I am very dissatisfied with the price I paid for this car and all the issues I-??ve had

Brakes locked when I had to stop abruptly because driver in front started and then stopped. Unable to advance vehicle. Tapping brakes did not release them. Required that I pump brake peddle with force. Created a dangerous situation because I was advancing from a left turn lane and was stuck in oncoming traffic on a busy state hwy.

Brakes: Significant vibration at 20K miles. Entire vehicle shakes violently when braking from highway speeds on a steep decline. Electrical: Infotainment unit shows no audio available at random times. Ticking or "sleet hitting the window" sound from dash speakers. This is very intermittent and can happen at any time. Seems to come and go.

There is a vibration when brakes are applied on a downhill especially on a 6% grade. Brakes are fine on a straigt non hill and a minor downhill descent.. vibration seems to occur only when brakes are applied frequently on a steep downhill. Vibration begins with a minor shake than gradually becomes heavy on the shake feeling on the steering wheel and frontal area of van. The front passenger experience the vibration as well. There are 8 passengers on board including our baggage - 4 adults and 3 kids. We notice this problem only on a long decent on a steep hill whill applying the brakes frequently. We felt insecure and had to let go of the brake pedals frequently just to perhaps cool down the barkes then apply again on staggered times. We reported this to a Honda dealer in loma linda and they said its not covered by warranty nor on recall. It was so surprising to hear that because there has been a lot of complaints about this issue and nothing has been done about this dilemma. Its a still a new vehicla and I think there shouldn't even have this sort of problem with only 23000 miles on it and its hardly been used. We only use this for family travels. Pease look investigate on this problem becasuse apparently nothing has been issued to recalls nor covered warrantly especially when its only last year's model 2019!

Driving on an expressway, the cars in front of me are slowing down, my car's collision mitigation braking system sends a visual alert with the "brake" signal coming on and I feel the brakes engaging, simultaneously I slam on the brakes, and while there was still distance between the car in front of mine and mine, I am not able to brake. The brakes seem confused, and the impact is so strong that my head almost reaches the steering wheel. The seatbelt is locked in place and leaves me sore. Once I am able to get ahold that I was just in a car accident, I am unable to lower the windows, the car is able to call for help on it's own and does so although nothing comes of that in that no help comes. Once I get off the van I notice the plate is knocked and on the floor, the bumper has fallen off and the hood and grill are curled up pictures attached. The car seems to be leaking a fluid and we are unable to start it. I believe that because we (the car and I) simultaneously having the system engaging on it's own and my slamming on the brakes prevented the brakes from working. The impact was with such velocity that it's impossible to have had them working properly. This is an important safety concern if the driver and the system are unable to work together or too confusing for the system. Interestingly, the air bags didn't deploy! additionally, the initial scan by the auto body shop had many alerts come up but the ones I would like to highlight are ABS - ECM failure and integrated driver support system - brake actuator malfunction, attaching that scan too.

Four times in last 3 months when heading into sun, 40 mph, empty rural road, , auto braking system flashed crash warning on screen in back of steering wheel. There were no hazards. I question whether the brakes might be applied. Santa Fe Honda dealer, on Oct 23, 2019 said this happens but is not a problem if I move the steering wheel a little, then the warning will go away and no braking will occur. Nothing dangerous did occur, but I am concerned and disengage the system if I remember. Must be done every time engine is started.

On July 2nd our vehicle wouldn't start. Prior to this date the vehicle worked fine. We call Honda roadside assistance and they came and jumped it. My wife let it idle for nearly 1 hour and turned it off. She returned an hour later only to find it was dead again. I decided to come home and jumped it and drove it down the hwy. While driving down the highway there was some vehicles swearving around some debris on the road and when I applied my brakes the vehicle lost power and I wasn't able to stear the vehicle fast enough and hit some of the debris. I let of the brake and the power came back on. I drove home turned the vehicle off and then tried to restart it again only to discover it was dead. I got out of my vehicle and inspected the front end which had minor scratches and cuts in the lower front driver's side bumper
