2015 Honda Civic with 136,159 miles. One morning put in reverse to back out of drive and Transmission starting slipping. Seamed to get better as the car warmed up. Turned around and parked the car until I could get it to a repair shop. The repair shop changed the oil and filter. Transmission was fine for about 6 days and is now starting to slip again. It is slipping a bit on the interstate when I go to pass. I read there was a recall for some 2015 Civics with CVT Transmissions. Mine was not listed in the recall, but is now slipping.

I was driving in stop and go city traffic and came to a stop at a red light and noticed smoke or steam coming from the hood. Upon pulling away from the light once it turned green, I noticed I had reduced acceleration and pulled over quickly. I have yet to get it in to the Honda dealership but will shortly. Upon roadside inspection from a mechanic, it is confirmed the the cvt transmission plug has come off and the transmission has lost fluid. Additionally, when turning left, the car will jar around and rumble if you turn the steering wheel too much.

On 2/25/22 I was heading north on I-5 right when I was heading up the Grapevine (about 100 miles from my home) when I noticed the road getting bumpy, at least so I thought. It started getting worse and my car started to studder. I tried to get to the shoulder but due to 2 lanes of big riggs it was quite difficult and scary to do so. When I was finally on the shoulder I inspected my tires which looked fine. I had it towed to a Honda dealership which told me that my transmission needed to be replaced. Said the fluid was black, looks like transmission might have overheated. The car only has 77,500 miles and I religiously do oil changes and services when due at a Honda dealership. This car hasn't needed a single repair until now. Also there were absolutely NO prior symptoms of any transmission problems.

I am having problems with my 2015 honda civic lx, my transmission failed when my wife and grandkids were getting off freeway and car stalled. This is a serious problem that Honda needs to address for consumer safety. The cvt transmissions in these vehicles are of poor quality.

While driving the check transmission light came on and vehicle would not accelerate above 20 mph. Vehicle made loud whining noise when pushing the gas pedal. Mechanic found that there was transmission fluid leaking heavily around the transmission fluid pressure switch. It is currently sill in the shop waiting for the replacement switch. Waiting to se if there are any other issues. I have seen many complaints on forums concerning the transmissions in these cars. Where is the recall?

My 2015 Honda Civic LX (automatic) began feeling like it was dragging/hesitating under 40m/h while decelerating. This would also happen while decelerating and then (without braking) accelerating (stop and go traffic or at signal). One time my car started shaking (think going on your brake and gas and brake and gas) that motion but way faster. it seems the fill cap/dipstick keeps popping out every 1000 miles and i have to manually put it back in.

1.8l engine Fill plug on auto transmission is blowing out! Cause: something to do with and engineering mistake on Honda's side. I'm not sure what is causing this which quickly leads to transmission failure to shortly follow the trans fill plugs blowing back out. From my research everyone on the internet is all saying the same thing is happening to their cars! This car was bought recently from a dealership with 40681 miles.

on 10/4 i was driving my 2015 honda civic se. It began to drive as though i had a flat tire. i got out to check and i did not have a flat tire. So i continued to drive to try and get my car out of the road. It began shaking/vibrating really bad. And then the car engine turned off. SO i cut my car back on and went to put it in drive and it would no longer go into gear. It just completely stopped working. i did not have any dash board lights/warning lights come on. I have not had any issues with my car regarding transmission up until 10/4/2021. I have also seen where there is a recall on Honda's with this issue. But my VIN was not on the recall list. It seems there have been several complaints regarding this issue. And several other VIN numbers were not listed. This is QUOTE anywhere from $5800 - $7000 fix from what I've been told. There seems to be an ongoing issue with the Transmissions for this Year/Model car. Who has that kind of money to fork and pay. It seems there should be more research into this and figure out what is going on. Is there anything I can do regarding this issue"?"

This is the 2nd Honda Civic Si that i bought first one was a 2013 and the one i have now is a 2015, I've researched this continuing problem and have found that many other Civic Si's are having this issue as well, when releasing clutch in first gear there's a grinding or clutch spring or clutch fly wheel noise that sounds like it's grinding or making a vibrational noise now when i first heard the issue in my 2013 i didn't put much thought into it, after hearing it more n more i took it into Honda and they told me they couldn't hear the noise so i let it go after a few years i bought a 2015 Civic Si and now this Si is making the same noise in the clutch area when releasing the clutch out of 1st gear, i don't know how in a 2 year difference that the clutch would be making the same noise, this needs to be taken care of it can't be that it's a driver error since many other drivers of this type of vehicle are also complaining of hearing this issue, i would like an investigation started on this to see if the manual transmission that's being used is faulty. I would also like to have my car checked out free of charge to see what the issue is with the transmission.

The transmission cap is a major flaw in this design (Honda Civic 2015). As you can tell by the pictures the vehicle is clearly losing transmission fluid and possibly leaving it open to exposure of debris. There is also no dipstick so you can't tell where the fluid level is. The vehicle also does not detect or notify the driver if the cap has come off. Honda needs to address this issue and until then, transmission services should be offered at no charge to the vehicle owner by Honda. Even if you put the cap back on it will come off because of pressure build up. If you find a way to keep the cap on you might cause pressure build up somewhere else. Honda has not offered a solution to this design flaw.
