I am aware that there was a Honda Civic settlement for the interior sun visors up to the year 2008. I owned a 2008 Honda Civic and had both visors replaced 4 times (both). I traded the car for a new 2011 Honda Civic LX. The first year during summer I was having problems with the drivers side visor which was replaced at the dealer where I bought the car. The visors were functioning as expected when last summer they were getting stuck and hard too open. Now at this time April 2015 the drivers side visor broke and just hangs there. The passenger side is not broken but doesn't close when you pull it up.

I thought Honda fixed this problem. I would like to know what is going on. This is an annoying problem because it keeps happening. There are often times when I am driving that the visor falls in my face and obstructs my view. I would hate to get into an accident because of this. Personally I have heard other complaints on this from quite a few people and I tell them to file a complaint. I have had other new cars like GM, Ford, Chevrolet, Buicks and have never had a problem with the interior sun visors. This is a first for me.

I have been a loyal customer to Honda these past years and have always recommended Honda Civics but lately I have been having second thoughts. I will also file another complaint.

This was the first new car I've ever owned, bought fresh out of college. After having it for about a year and a half, the driver side sun visor started becoming hard to close. There was a piece that kept popping out. For awhile I was able to smash it back together and get it to close completely. Eventually that piece that was popping out broke and fell out of the visor. It is completely not usable now. It just sort of hangs there limply. This would not be a big deal if I did not commute east in the mornings and west in the evenings! I have to sit up as tall as I possibly can to keep the sun from blinding me. I am a single mom on a tight budget so I cannot afford to get it fixed right now. I would have hoped for better quality in a new car that I've taken great pains to keep in good shape. Hondas have such a good reputation! That's why I bought it! I know from other research that older models had the same problem and were rectified in a class action lawsuit, so hopefully Honda will take care of their customers with newer year models.

I bought my 2011 Honda in July 2013 two weeks after I had my car the rear window stopped working. Honda said they fixed the problem. the window worked until a week ago it is now exactly a year later and the window will not go down. clearly they didn't fix it the first time around. Now I am over my warranty so if the window gets fixed I will have to pay for it and I'm not willing to do that. what I will do is trade to a Toyota. The next problem I had was the passenger side visor it would not stay up that was shortly after I bought the car in 07/2013 Honda fixed it but now it is a year later and the driver side visor will not stay up and it looks like it is warped from the heat. there is an opening in the visor I am not happy this is suppose to be a good car.
