During medium acceleration the vehicle engine lost power and all the instrument panel warnings went off. Dealership said a blow head gasket. There are many threads online saying that there needs to be something done because the Honda 1.5 turbo motors are blowing head gaskets prematurely under 100k miles. Mine 2020 Accord has 108k and has been driven with care as I-??m a middle aged male commuting to and from work with the car. Some sort of investigation needs to be done to show there is either a design flaw or a gasket flaw.

I am an 81 years old widow and am very afraid to drive my new 2020 Honda Accord. I am regularly experiencing an ongoing intermittent issue where my car stalls for no apparent reason. I've taken it to the Honda garage where I purchased it two times and no one seems to be able to satisfactorily address this concern. The first time I reported it to the shop (4/24/24), the technician didn't even pull it into the garage to investigate it. I assumed they would hook it to some diagnostic device and see if the cars computer would have some record of the fault. Instead, he jumped in, pushed some buttons relating to the lane keeping system (?) and claimed that would fix it, but it did not. I continue to experience the same problems. One example is when I take my car to the car wash, it stalls at the end and starts beeping. No matter what car wash I go to, it's the same awful experience, where they must shut down their equipment and come out to help me get the car restarted so as to get me out of the way and let everyone else out who are now stuck behind me (Very frightening and embarrassing). I've also had the car shut off after hitting some small potholes. It will shut down and requires a few attempts to get it restarted from the middle of the road!again - I then took it back to the Honda garage where I purchased it for a 2nd time (6/3/24) and for some other routine maintenance. This time they told me that maybe it was caused by my Toll-Road EZ-Pass which was mounted to my windshield near the rear view mirror. As you may imagine, I'm beginning to think the reason for the inability to address the issue is either intentional, incompetence, or perhaps I have a lemon..

For some reason the vehicle shift gets stuck in the park position. After continuous tries, it eventually goes into gear. Apparently, there is something wrong with the transmission and should be covered by warranty.

I brought my vehicle into the dealer for a recall software problem and to fix an oil leak coming from the valve cover. They replace the valve cover gasket and performed the software recall. As of now it still shows that my vehicle still needs the software recall. One week later after the oil leak repair, a massive oil leak formed at the valve cover causing oil to cover my engine bay and exhaust causing a burning smell and possible fire risk. Every weekend we drive out of state to tournaments and I was unaware of the leak. I brought it back to the dealer and they said it was residual oil from the previous repair. I was skeptical but believed them. One week later the same massive oil leak and problem occurred in my engine bay and driveway. Having no confidence in the dealer and being an ASE certified master mechanic, I decided to fix the problem myself by replacing the plastic valve cover assembly. I remove the old valve cover and found it to be extremely warped not providing a proper seal. The first time I brought my car into the dealer the service advisor said this is the second one this week that we-??ve seen. I have a hard time believing that my vehicle is the only problem with this. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service from the dealership and the lack of concern that my life and my sons life was put in danger with a fire risk. I am currently seeking reimbursement for the part that I paid out-of-pocket. About US$150.

My car is a hybrid. At times, a Very loud humming noise is produced, due to glitch in software with the ANC. Noise starts and stops suddenly, intermittently, without warning, and is a safety hazard. Noise can build to be extremely loud and jarring, and can last for several minutes. Honda claims this is a cosmetic issue only and they are working on it. But the issue has been repeatedly reported by thousands of drivers over a multi-year period. Honda is ignoring any real resolution. Please help! This is frightening and disruptive, and makes operating the car unsafe. Thank you. It started about 1 year after ownership and was occasional. IT is now happening multiple times, every time I drive my car.

While travelling at highway speeds, rainy weather, the engine completely shut down. Engine light illuminated. Did not want to pull over on shoulder so glided to exit ramp. Turned vehicle off and then restarted with no issues. Drove approximately 150 miles to nearest Honda dealer. They inspected and said 'no diagnostic code' was registered. I took to my dealer and they tried to recreate but could not. They also found no codes. Had my family in car when full power loss. Very dangerous situation. I immediately activated the flashers. Drove in the right lane of interstate highway rest of way to dealer and home.

I leased my vehicle a year ago, I had electrical issues with my old car so I wanted a brand new car that was reliable and safe for me and my children. In the first months the car was fine but after about 4 months the car would smoke from the exhaust pipes randomly. I took it for maintenance as the car system directed but the repair shop never said there was anything wrong with the exhaust system. A month or so past and one day I got in the car and all the lights on the dash board were in. I was so freaked out because it was a new car and no warning lights should of been on. I took it to Honda repair services and they found out that a mouse went in my engine and chewed some of the electrical wires. The cost of the repair was 1700 which is extremely outrageous prices to me. Anyway I was at hospital at work and I got the call from the mechanic saying I would have to pay out of pocket because it wasn't a factory default. So I went home and did some researching and I found out Honda had been using soybean it peanut butter oil to lube the wiring, and that's what attracts rodents to your engine. It also started that Honda wire protection tape was out of stock because some many customers had there car wires eaten by rodents. So I was so pissed off that I called Honda corporate and they told me there is nothing they can do. I feel as though this is a big safety issue, why would Honda put parts or use oils in the car engine that attracts rodents. This to me is, unfair to honest hard working customers that pay Honda there money expecting to have a safe and reliable vehicle.now I just found out there is a recall on the vehicle because the car started smoking out the exhaust pipes once again. I am very disappointed in Honda.

Driving on I95 near lumberton nc at 78mph in econ mode with cruise on, went to pass vehicle after cruise slowed me down, stepped on gas and response felt different, realized I was slowing down while stepping on the gas. Noticed cel light and continued to slow down. I thought car was drifting but the rpms still showed engine on. Got to safety apron and realized car was in limp mode. Managed to get to exit ramp. Sitting on ramp noticed that the engine, when you tapped the gas pedal, was rough but seemed to idle ok. Towed to nearby dealer. They said it had a P0300 history code but no current code. They cleared it, test drove and gave it back to me. Continued by trip to Virginia with no problems. Car had 7251 miles. No problems before this. Previous night (31st) we gassed up and drove an hour+ to florence in rain. Stayed the night and started next day. We had driven another hour+ when this happened. It was in the 30's that day in SC but not raining.

This vehicle when driving at normal speeds tends to make a high accelerating notices, it makes a person feel as if some other vehicle was passing on the left side at a very high speed. The first time I heard this noise, I moved to the right side of the road, thinking that a speeding driver was passing me. Since then, the vehicle continues to make this accelerating noise, six to seven times on a average of a thirty mile trip. I feet that this is not normal for a vehicle that is less than a year old. The vehicle makes this noise when in motion from 20-50 miles per hour, and might also make it at higher speeds. It never makes it while sitting in place idling.

2020 Accord 2.0T sport 10,600 miles I was traveling across the state with periods of light and heavy rain. About halfway into my ~280 mile trip I stopped for a red light. When accelerating from the light, my car lost power and the accelerator did not work. I coasted to the side of the road and noticed the check engine light blinking, with no other warning messages. I shut the car off and restarted to find no engine light or warning. I was in the middle of nowhere late in the evening so I continued to the destination. With approximately 20 miles to go, I attempted to accelerate around a slower moving vehicle and was met with previous problems, as well as many warning messages. Turning off and restarting the car enabled me to drive again, but the warning messages remain. Both times this occurred it was raining. Both times I lost power and could not accelerate to move to a safe location.
