"takata recall" in July 2016 I received the "important safety recall" from Ford telling me my vehicle had the faulty passenger frontal airbag and to take it to my dealer for replacement. The dealer said they did not have the parts to do the repair. Having been informed that the airbag on the passenger side is faulty I have been unable to have any ride as a passenger because if something happened and the airbag deployed and injured someone I would be at fault and my insurance would not cover me. I received another notice concerning the airbag in October and also info that takata was filing bankruptcy. The dealer still does not have parts for the repair. I would imagine I am not the only one who is in this situation. Can anyone do anything about getting parts to the dealers to make repairs? I have a vehicle that cannot be used as designed.
Takata recall there has been no incident. I am aware of the airbag recall 16S26 which commenced June 1, 2016. It has been over a year, and the liability of a serious injury or death remains uncorrected. We need to get the parts manufactured, to dealerships, and installed.
