Takata recall. I first became aware of this recall when I purchased the vehicle in November 2016. I have submitted two letters to NHTSA to deactivate passenger-side airbag, since it is a single cab. I cannot Transport anyone in the passenger seat because of this airbag, and there is no availability of replacement airbags. The letters I sent in Dec 16 and Oct 17 have gone unanswered. I filled out an email to NHTSA last week and have just gotten off the phone to NHTSA. I need this airbag deactivated until replacement is available. I am in touch with local Ford dealer, "speedway Ford' in griffin, ga 30224, but they cannot resolve the matter either.

It's been a year when I received a notice about the passage airbag, I'm very displease with the turn around to replace it. What's going on. This tells me Ford doesn't care about them or their families well being.

Takata recall. This vehicle has been under a recall for almost two years. Initially I was told that it was okay to allow a passenger to ride in that seat. That has been changed to not allow a passenger. This is too long for very limited use of my vehicle. Other people's Ford have been repaired and I see where for some Ranger the parts have been received. This is unacceptable and I believe the problem has been relegated to a less important position. Do something about this. I understand that there are a lot of vehicles under recall, but I am sure they're capable of creating replacements in less than two years. What's their yearly manufacturing volume?
2008 Ford Ranger. Consumer writes in regards to safety airbag recall. The consumer stated the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount completing the recall repair.
