Takata recall 16V-384 I received a letter from Ford on 4/16/18 stating that "a repair for your 2007 Ford Ranger airbag inflator is available", and to call my dealer to set up an appointment to have it fixed. I have now called 4 dealerships and none of them have the parts to fix the airbag. I received the same letter from Ford for my 2009 Mercury Milan over 2 years ago and I'm still waiting for parts for that vehicle. Wtf!!! why send a letter if there isn't any parts at dealerships"?" I do think that Ford Motor Company needs to be stepped on by the us government to get them off their collective gluteus maximuses and get this problem fixed or else face heavy penalties. Usually, when uncle sam calls, things get done. My 2009 Mercury Milan has 15000 miles on it, has not been out of the garage since Sept. 2017 because I'm afraid to drive it. I've been told by Ford employees that I shouldn't worry about the airbag exploding, but, that does little to assuage my fear. Now my other vehicle(the only one I have left) has the same problem and Ford is already starting with their fake recall letters & lack of parts problem. This is bull-sh-T!!! so much for "buying american".......maybe its time to go shopping for that Honda/Mitsubishi/Toyota/Hyundai.

Takata recall received a recall notice on our pickup in March of 2017. Called western slope auto about the recall three to four times and they said they could not do anything about the recall as it was not their (basically) problem and to call corporate. They refused to give us a number for their corporate office. We are now waiting to find out what happens next....perhaps an accident. We do not want to wait for an accident and the airbag not deploy so we don't drive our vehicle very much. We need the use of this vehicle. We are pretty upset with western slope auto in grand junction, co.

Takata recall. I was informed of the takata airbag recall, over a year ago and was told I would be contacted by Ford to have the repair done. I never heard from Ford until recently when I received a letter saying that I shouldn't drive my truck with a passenger. This recall is taking for too long. This is a "passenger" truck. This is an obvious problem. This form is also a problem. I'm complaining about an active recall, and it wants documentation, and dates? these are provided in the recall itself. I just want the recall associated with my truck repaired in a timely manner.
Takata recall - this recall is very disturbing. This truck is my husband's only mode of transportation. His daily driver and he picks up our 3yrs old from daycare every afternoon. What is the status on getting this repaired? or we need a rental until this is taken care of. I don't want anything to happen to my family. We live in a rural area and deer are prevalent.
Takata recall---Ford dealer local and international is saying they do not have parts to replace passenger air bag which is in recall and takata is not responding to my emails.
Have received conflicting notices online versus land mail regarding recall for airbags. Letter says deadline to claim or else null and void, online Ford website says no serious concern. So which is it?
