Takata recall I received a letter from Ford motors saying "a repair is available for your vehicle." The letter told me " please call your dealer without delay and request a service date for recall 16S26 to receive your free repair." I called hawk Ford in oak lawn, il, identified my recall and they immediately scheduled an appointment. When I arrived, they said they did not have the part and could not perform the work. This is the second time it has happened with the same dealer. The first time I did misunderstand the letter and assumed the work could be done. However the dealer's staff still scheduled the repair and didn't have the part. Why is Ford telling me to get this done asap when their dealers don't have the parts and why is the dealer scheduling work they can't perform. I am totally frustrated and powerless. I am tired of driving a one-person car! please help!
Takata airbag (passenger side) can not get repaired told by dealership that we are not in the right zone for them to order replacement. This has been going on for several years. The driver side airbag was replaced

"takata recall" - received a recall notice in 2016 concerning defective inflators in air bags. Contacted local Ford dealer on numerous occasions (6+). dealer will not return my calls. Was told today that repair parts are still not available. This is not an acceptable length of time to get a recall repaired. I would expect better service from Ford than I have received. Currently I own a 2005 Mustang with only 84,000 miles and I can not have a passenger in the front seat area. Unacceptable!!! it has been over 18 months. Again unacceptable!!

Takata recall; no parts available in a timely manner. Two recalls, one for driver airbag, one for passenger airbag. Almost two years on both recalls, and no permanent parts available.
Takata recall would like to see something done about the passenger side. They sent MA a notice saying not to have anyone on the passenger side. This negates my cars usefulness. How about you people do something as Ford doesn't want to. Maybe use a "lemon law and make them buy it back" do something!! have filed before with assurance that something would be done. Not!!

Takata recall: I've been calling my local Ford dealership for the past year and a half since I got the letter about the recall on my passenger airbag. Every time I call its always the same "we don't have any parts for the recall. We will notify you when we get parts in" and they never call back. I want to get this fixed sooner rather than later and I think ive given sioux city Ford more than enough time to get parts in.
Takata recall was notified of original recall July 2016 received follow letter Dec 2017 stating: Until remedy parts become available, do not let anyone sit in front pass seat! its now Jan 2018 and no fix car is driven in South Florida about 4-6 months of the year. My wife due to physical knee issues, unable to get into tiny seat, so vehicle is useless to us with no plan "B" from Ford, or any suggestion of compensation for loss of use of vehicle
