I was driving to work and a warning "service power steering" and "service advance trac" came on and the vehicle was then extremely difficult to steer. I am glad I was not going around a high speed curve.

Check power steering and advtrc lights come on steering wheel became stiff and car is undrive-able if this was to happen at highway speed you be in big trouble crash no question lucky I was pulling in to walmart when this happened but car is undriveable tell fix

In addition, the electronic stability control warning indicator started to flash. The vehicle was towed to larry H miller Ford (11595 6th ave, lakewood, co 80215) where it was diagnosed that the electronic vacuum pump needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 58,900.
Power steering failure after warning as vehicle was started. I was able to drive with superhuman effort directly to the nearest Ford dealer in escondido, California where we were when the incident occurred. Internet sources indicate that this failure is common and we identified a recall related to the issue. The dealer replaced the power steering rack and refused to apply the known issue recall. The dealer stated that although our vehicle was manufactured in the hermosillo plant during the time period stated in the recall, our VIN did not register the recall.
Power steering assist fault this has happened on 3 different occasions and resets after it has set for a period of time. The steering is near impossible to turning. It has only happened upon start up of the car. The car can not be driven while this warning is active.
I was driving right before entering the highway when my brakes suddenly went out and the service advanctrac and power steering lights came on. The power steering assist stops working and it is almost impossible to steer this has happened on 2 occasions in the last 3 months. The dash displays a power assist fault but there are no obd codes. This had a recall which I had the car in for and since it has happened a total of 3 times since. These have all occurred at low speed and the only way to clear it is to turn the car off and restart.

Cost of repair $1500 plus tax to replace. Its at keyser & miller Ford Inc, collegeville pa to replace the whole power steering. After filling up my tank, I proceeded to exit out of a quiktrip parking lot, back onto the street, when my brakes failed to stop the car. Luckily enough, this did not cause an accident and I was able to pull the car over in a nearby parking lot. After pulling over the service advancetrac light came on, in addition to the check brake system light. I checked the fluids, which all seemed to be fine. However, the brakes would not stop the vehicle unless pressed completely to the floor. This drastically affected the stop time which would definitely lead to an increased risk of an accident. I ended up having to get the vehicle towed as I did not want to risk driving it home.

We were driving in the freeway the car went from 80 to zero it would not go. It stalled in the fast lane almost causing a chain reaction. The vechile has been 'fixed' over 7 times. The dealership cannot figure out what's wrong. Many people online have had the same problems some people have died from accidents. This is very unsafe. Ford says they have recalled some vechiles but not all. They even suggested because it was older. My mother has a 2017 hybrid and is experiencing the same thing as me. The car is not safe at all! if someone doesnt make the fix it many people could be hurt
