Takata recall - I received notification of an active recall for the airbag inflator in my car in June 2016 (NHTSA recall number 16V384).. however, the recall is incomplete with no remedy available. How am I supposed to protect myself or sell my car with no fix for this active recall?
Have not been able to locate a dealer that can get the necessary parts to correct the recall. Every savannah Ford and oc welsh both said the parts are nor available.
I have contacted the dealer several times since receiving the recall notice and I have been told that they do not have the parts to make the repair. The dealer says that the Ford Motor Corporation has not given them direction on how to handle the issue.
Takata recall the recall was issued 6/1/2016, and there has been no remedy yet from Ford. I believe it has been plenty of time for them to come up with a remedy. I received a notice today about takata corporation has declared bankruptcy. That should not stop a remedy for consumers who bought these cars on good faith.
Takata recall it has been more than 18 months. I called Ford my dealer sold me the car. They keep telling me still no air bags. More than 18 months. They say Ford will let me know, but on date when.

Takata recall. Front passenger airbag under safety recall since June 1, 2016. This is over 16 months since the recall without a remedy. It is unsafe for people to ride in the front passenger seat. This is unacceptable. None of the Ford dealers in the area have a solution.
Since I first received the mail telling me there was a recall on my air bags in 2016, I have been calling the Ford dealership to get them replaced, but they keep telling me that Ford has not provided them with the replacement parts. Now I'm afraid to drive my car - especially on the highway.
Takata recall. It now almost a year since I received a recall notice for airbags. I have never receive any further information. I have called Ford and complained but all I get is "the parts are not available." They need to make a greater effort.
Was notified of the June 1 2016 recall. I have asked dealer to address recall but they cannot because of parts unavailability. It is now 2/2017 and do think that 8 months is enough time to address this problem, and it seems Ford is delaying putting their customers safety in jeopardy. Takata recall. Received a recall letter from Ford corporation, July 2016, regarding the passenger airbag; however, to date, there is still no remedy, per the local dealership and Ford corporation's website. I live in a state identified as a high-risk area. Nothing has happened yet, but this is ridiculous that we must roll the dice every time we get behind the wheel!
Takata recall we have not receive a letter requesting us to bring in our vehicle to have the takata airbag replaced. Since takata airbags are a "major" safety issue where human lives are at risk, I would believe this would have been taken care last year. I want in writing from Ford telling us to take our vehicle to our nearest Ford dealership asap.

The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V384000 (air bags) and stated that the part was not available within a reasonable time frame to schedule the recall repair. The manufacturer was contacted and was unable to provide an estimated date for when the vehicle would receive the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

The contact had not experienced a failure.
Waiting since receiving recall 16V384 (may'16) for Ford to advise when parts are available to fix. In meantime, we are not driving vehicle due to safety concerns. This is taking much too long to resolve.
