I was warned in July 2016 that my passenger airbag is unsafe. I called, was told they expected parts by December 2016.I was never contacted about a repair. I received a letter 12/17 stating that the airbag could injure a passenger, parts are not available and they dont expect parts until spring 2018. The letter states not not allow anyone to sit in the front passenger seat which is impossible for me my dealership refuses to help. I contacted Ford customer relations and was disconnected and ultimately told they cannot take calls and try again later. I want a loaner vehicle or rental vehicle until my airbag can be repaired.
Takata recall. There has been untimely delay in rectifying the defective passenger airbag. This has diminished my full use of the vehicle to an unacceptable degree.
Takata recall - I received my first letter about this dated July 2016 which stated the passenger frontal airbag inflator may rupture in the event of a crash necessitating airbag deployment. I have received a second letter dated December 2017 which states "do not let anyone sit in the first row passenger seat". this letter was received just after I returned home from a long trip with a front seat passenger. Why was I not warned not to have front seat passengers for 18 months" I have contacted my dealership repeatedly who say parts are unavailable and I have called the Ford customer relationship center who told me parts may be available in the spring of 2018 but would not commit to a definite month. I believe I am in zone a which is a higher priority area - California. Why is this taking so long" not to allow a front seat passenger is very inconvenient.
Takata recall this recall has been open for 18 months and there is no end in sight. Recently received another mailing from Ford stating that no one should sit in the front passenger seat or they could be killed. Called Ford to request the airbag be disconnected, they said its a controlled safety system and nothing can be done. I'm not sure what group I am in, but live in a area with high temperatures and humidity.

Takata recall -- we have been unable to get Ford to complete necessary recall repairs. We received a letter dated July 2016 stating that the passenger side air bag was defective and that they would contact us when parts were available. We have checked several times since and have not been able to get the air bag replaced.
Been waiting since Jan 2016 for the airbag replacement. I do think for something that could cause death would be handle faster than this. This is unexceptable.
Takata recall - Jun 01,2016 manufacturer recall number16S26 NHTSA recall number16V384 recall statusrecall incomplete, remedy not yet available 18 months later, no remedy available. The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion hybrid. While driving at any speed, the vehicle made unusual noises. The noises increased at approximately 45 mph without warning. The vehicle was taken to East Tennessee Ford (crossville, tn, 931-240-4121) where it was diagnosed that the front passenger wheel bearing was faulty and about to fall out. The technician replaced the wheel bearing assembly. Approximately two years later, the front driver's wheel bearing also failed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the wheel bearing assembly was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and stated that there was no recall. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V384000 (air bags); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.
Ford notified me of recall for passenger side airbag in 2016. Dealers told me they could not replace it at that time. It is over a year later, they still cannot replace it or disable it. So my passengers need to ride in the back seat now for over a year.
Takata recall... I was notified that there was a recall on my car in June 2016 by mail. I have contacted future Ford of concord, ca where I purchased the car repeatedly. I also contacted walnut creek, ca Ford. They said that takata went bankrupt and they don't have any airbags to replace the potentially dangerous one in my car. They said that they will contact me when they are available. This is not an acceptable answer. While I haven't had an accident, if I do, I may suffer death or injury rather then having the airbag protect me as the designers intended.
Takata recall. I just bought a used car only to find out it is under this dangerous and possibly deadly recall. Ford says parts are not available to fix it, and they have no estimate of when they will be. After watching the NHTSA video on the takata problem, this is clearly an unacceptable answer, especially since we bought and older car and live in a hot, humid climate!! I don't want my family members to be at risk of metal parts flying out of the airbag in the event of a crash!
