The contact owns a 2017 Ford Fusion. On several occasions, while driving between 30 and 70 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to manley's belvidere Ford Lincoln (1800 N state St, belvidere, il 61008, (815) 544-2138) to be diagnosed, but the mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code. The contact was informed that a software update was performed; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: Cas-22298025. The approximate failure mileage was 21,108.

The Ford "sync 3" system, which seems to be the brains of nearly all interior controls and accessories has been malfunctioning in multiple Ford models for a few years now. Thing affected include all HVAC controls, audio controls, power seats, windows, remote start abilities and more. Ford aware of the malfunctions in current and previous models, yet they refuse to issue any recall or technical service bulletin. The dealerships insist they can't duplicate the issue even after having been shown videos of the cars malfunctions. A quick search through online Ford forums will this issue is widely experienced and that it's clearly a manufacturing defect and Ford should be liable.

2017 Fusion is once again back at the dealer to make a third attempt to find why the battery is being drained. Each time 10/Dec/18, 11/Jan/19, and 18/Aug/19 the vehicle did not start it was parked in our garage. It also took hours to recharge the battery to get it started to drive it back to the dealer each time. It is unbelievable to us that Ford does not recall these cars.

I am filing this complaint for my sister (she does not have a computer) who has found her Ford Fusion with a dead battery seven times, starting three days after purchase. On four occasions it was taken to the dealer for service, three other times jump-started by her neighbor so she could get to doctor's appointments. Due to health problems, she cannot afford to miss these appointments. Apparently, this dead-battery issue is a widespread problem with the Fusion. In January 2018 Ford admitted there is a battery draining problem and instructed her to have the PCM reprogrammed (attachment 2). It did not solve the problem. The dealer cannot find the source of the draining. In her case the battery was found dead after sitting stationary in each instance. This problem will happen again and again. The next time, she will file a lemon law case. Ford should be required to recall all of the Fusion to fix this problem, which substantially affects safety, use and market value of the car.

While driving the vehicle three block from my house the engine shut down and would not re-start. I pushed it into a parking lot and attempted to jump start it with no luck. I had it towed to airport marina Ford 5880 w. centinela ave, los angeles, ca. 90045. My vehicle has been at Ford service for three days and they have not been able to figure out the issue. The service advisor said they problem may be caused by the high voltage regulator or the transmission. My vehicle only has approximately 52,000 miles.

So, I have complained to Ford on 3 separate occasions about my gear shift malfunctioning. When I put it into drive, the gear will go back into park and start flashing. Or it will start driving and go back into park after moving. It's crazy. Then, Ford service has told me multiple times that they can't find anything wrong. Now there is a recall for the exact same issue. I even had wanted them to take the car back because I didn't feel safe, but they said it hadn't been long enough and they couldn't find anything wrong. Again, now there is a recall for the exact issue. Also, my windows roll back down after I roll them up. They will do this several times until they stop. Again, Ford said they can't find anything wrong.

The windows go up and down by themselves and you can't put them up all the way or they will go back down by themselves and their is some kind of interference in the electrical system that comes through the stereo and lights. And this same problems happened 2 time's before this date below so it happened 3 times

The front driver side and passenger side windows will not close fully on occasion. If you try rolling the window up it will automatically roll back down to about halfway to 2/3 open. I tried to get this issue corrected at he dealership once. The mechanics refused to log the issue and 'recalibrated' the window in a few seconds. The problem persists. It is a safety issue in my opinion because passengers and drivers cannot close the window in case of emergencies. This has been ongoing since last year.

Primary concern: Car loses all propulsion and goes into accesory mode when accelerating. I, as well as several others with 2017 Ford Fusion sport models, have lost total power while leaving red lights, stop signs, and worst of all, merging onto the highway. My car died under normal acceleration while attempting to merge on the highway, and while pulling away from a stop sign, on two different occasions, months apart from each other. A member of our facebook group of Fusion sport owners captured his car lose all power, on video, and his car is being bought back by Ford, but that is not enough. These cars, although fun and enjoyable, pose a serious threat to not only the owners of the car, but also to other drivers on the road who could hit us from behind, injuring of killing passengers in either vehicle, or vehicles nearby. This car needs to be recalled and removed from the road. Here is his video: Https://youtu.be/nlnn0hkrhtg

I was backing out of my driveway and the car did not go more than 10 feet backwards when the whole system shut down and had to restart. It took more than 10 minutes to restart and it took 3-4 times of putting on the brake and pushing the start button before the system would re-initiate. This was the second time the car had done this and the whole system and to re-start. I took it to the Ford dealership in upland, ca and they did a system/charging circuits-charge-test and nothing came from the test. The car is still under warranty but since they did not find anything it cost me $ 95.

I had driven the car the previous day and parked it in my driveway and the car was completely dead the next morning. I had replaced the battery only 4 months prior. It was a new battery. I took it to the Ford dealership in upland and they tested starting and charging system circuits-charge-test nothing came up. I had charged the battery earlier that day to get the car to the dealership. This is the second time the car had completely discharged the battery and both times there was nothing wrong with the battery.

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that there was a sudden loss of power, various warning indicators and gauges illuminated on the instrument panel, and the vehicle stalled. The contact made several attempts to restart the vehicle and maneuver the gear shifter from the park position, but it was extremely difficult. The vehicle was cautiously driven to crater lake Ford Lincoln (2611 biddle rd, medford, or 97504, (541) 887-6176). An appointment was made to have the vehicle diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN and failure mileage were not available.
