The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the Electric Parking Brake would unexpectedly while driving at various speeds without driver input. The contact then had to press the release for an extensive amount of time before the Electric Parking Brake was released, allowing the contact to return to driving the vehicle. The message -??Electric Parking Brake Service Required-?? was displayed. The contact stated that the radio display screen had begun flashing on and off while driving at approximately 25 MPH. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that the parts for the recall repair were not available. The dealer was unable to confirm when parts would be available. The dealer was unable to determine the cause of the Electric Parking Brake failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 120,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
