CarComplaints.com Notes: Power steering problems started rearing their ugly head in the 2010 Fusion, so you'd think Ford had plenty of time to make sure those problems didn't creep into the 2012. But here we are.

The Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS) is a mess. It fails at an alarming rate. Don’t believe us? Take a look at NHTSA’s data on the subject.

And much like the power steering, we’re still seeing the same throttle body failures that started in 2010 continue in 2012.

The airbag sensor light keeps coming on. I have taken it to a dallas hardy Ford (paulding county Georgia), where it was purchased, twice to have it fixed. They say it is fixed and then it comes on again. Last year in January it came on again. This time I had Firestone in mechanicsville, va look at it. They said that there was nothing wrong with anything except there was a bunch of "gunk" on the connectivity wires. They scraped them off and the sensor light went off. However, it has come back again. I am not if the airbag works on or not. Dallas hardy Ford tells me because it is out of warranty they will charge me a huge sum of money to even look at it. This has been going on since 2014.

Takata recall it's stated that this recall was acknowledged January 2017. It's almost been 2 years and we are still driving around with a potentially fatal recall needing to be fixed in our car. I've been into a Ford dealer multiple times and they are unable to do the repair because I have not received a notice to come in and the parts are not in. The airbags deploying and shooting metal is a pretty serious issue and we would really appreciate having this issue taken care of sooner rather than later.

Takata recall. I do not want to wait to see if my airbags are defective upon an accident happening. I would like them checked or replaced now. Why send the information in the mail to me on 10/30/2018 that my car could have defective airbags and not have them at least checked out" get real; makes no sense. Why cause this worry to someone and not correct it"

Takata recall letter was originally received on March 2017 so I contacted my Ford dealership in fresno and I was told by Ford that the parts were not in and that they would contact me when they were in. I called Ford a few times after that and I was still told that the parts were not in. I then received a letter from Ford in May 2018 stating that the parts for the airbag were still not in and that they would notify me when they came in. As of today, October 30, 2018, I still have not heard from Ford regarding the parts. In the meantime, my life and others who are passengers in my vehicle could be in great danger of I were in an accident. These parts should have come in a long time ago when I received the 1st recall notice. It is now a year and a half later and still no parts are available. This is absolutely ridiculous!
