CarComplaints.com Notes: Power steering problems started rearing their ugly head in the 2010 Fusion, so you'd think Ford had plenty of time to make sure those problems didn't creep into the 2012. But here we are.

The Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS) is a mess. It fails at an alarming rate. Don’t believe us? Take a look at NHTSA’s data on the subject.

And much like the power steering, we’re still seeing the same throttle body failures that started in 2010 continue in 2012.

Takata recall I was told early this year that my vehicle has unsafe passenger-side air bags. This means my car's passenger safety is compromised. Yet nothing has been done with my car to solve the problem by Ford, other than a promise that some day they will provide a free replacement. I purchased a brand new car in 2012 with safety air bag features. How long should I have to wait to get them?

We received a letter informing us our front airbag needed to be replaced back in March of 2017. As of today (November 8, 2017) Ford still does not have the replacement part for this car. I've spoken to both our local Ford dealer and Ford customer service. They also couldn't tell me whether the car was safe to drive or not.

"takata recall" I received the notification concerning the airbag recall in the mail the day before the vehicle was involved in an accident and was eventually considered to be a total loss. The airbag in the drivers side did deploy and pieces of what I thought were glass were embedded in my skin on my left hand though there wasn't any glass in that area that seemed to be loose. I also noticed that the airbag continued to burn for an extremely long time. The accident occurred and after all parties were evaluated and the road was cleared a bit, the tow truck arrived and the steering column still had smoke coming from the airbag region which the paramedic mentioned seemed to be longer that usual for it to still be smoking. This accident occurred while, Y vehicle was in motion and hit a stopped car which then hit another vehicle on a city street while driving in the forwards position.

Takata recall- takata has failed to make replacement airbags available or offer any type of "fix" for safety recall notice 17S01. The amount of time that has passed is unacceptable and very worrisome in the face that it feels my car is a ticking time bomb of sorts.

Takata recall. In January 2017 I received a recall notice from Ford stating that my 2012 Ford Fusion had a recall repair/replacement due. The part to be replaced was a takata inflator on the passenger side that could cause injury or death to the occupants. Repeated phone calls and visits from January through October 2017 to two of my local Ford dealers resulted in repeated denials of replacement due to "we don't have the parts" and "some time next year" (2018). It has now been 10 months that I have been driving a potentially lethal vehicle.

Takata recall I have put in 2 calls to the local dealership to get my airbag recall issue fixed, and nothing has happened. I am afraid to drive my car because if I get in an accident, it could kill me. When are they going to get the parts and fix this or give me a replacement car?

Takata recall: We received a recall notice in March 2017 for replacement of a frontal airbag inflator. We promptly contacted our local Ford dealer, but were told that the parts were not available and that we would be contacted when they came in. Today is November 3, 2017 and we still have not been contacted to have the parts replaced.

Takata recall...they state they have no remedy for this when I put my VIN# in at the airbagrecall.com site and it has been on recall since January 2017. Also we had an issue with the driver's door not unlocking and stuck where someone in the car would not be able to get out without climbing out the window. Had it in the shop for repair even though they have recalled 2013 and above for this very reason. The Ford dealership said the 2012 Ford Fusion was not included. We had to pay $100 (warranty deductible) to have them fix it. I feel if it is known on other model years this one should have been covered.

Takata recall. I received a recall notice in March of 2017. I have contacted my Ford dealer several times and continue to be told that they do not have the replacement parts and have no idea when they will have them. I am not comfortable driving a car when the airbag may explode.
