CarComplaints.com Notes: Power steering problems started rearing their ugly head in the 2010 Fusion, so you'd think Ford had plenty of time to make sure those problems didn't creep into the 2012. But here we are.

The Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS) is a mess. It fails at an alarming rate. Don’t believe us? Take a look at NHTSA’s data on the subject.

And much like the power steering, we’re still seeing the same throttle body failures that started in 2010 continue in 2012.

Takata recall - in March 2017 I received written notice of safely recall notice 17S01. It stated: "when parts become available...Ford Motor Company will notify you via mail to schedule a service appointment with your dealer to have the passenger frontal airbag inflator replaced free of charge (parts and labor)..." I have received no such notification. Today, approx. One year after the recall date, I checked this site and learned that the parts are still not available, and now takata has filed for bankruptcy. Yet I'm left driving a vehicle that is apparently unsafe. What should I do?

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2012 Ford Fusion. The contact received an interim notification of an unknown manufacturer recall concerning the air bags months ago. The dealer (fairway Ford, 1350 E yorba linda blvd, placentia, ca 92870, (714) 579-3800) was not able to verify when the manufacturer would supply the part to the dealer. The interim recall notice did not give a specific date for when the remedy and repair part would become available. The contact was unable to determine when the vehicle would be repaired. The manufacturer was contacted to determine if they could provide a reasonable date for when the contact's vehicle would receive the recall repair. The contact was not experiencing a failure. The VIN was not available. Updated 9/4/18
