CarComplaints.com Notes: Power steering problems started rearing their ugly head in the 2010 Fusion, so you'd think Ford had plenty of time to make sure those problems didn't creep into the 2012. But here we are.

The Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS) is a mess. It fails at an alarming rate. Don’t believe us? Take a look at NHTSA’s data on the subject.

And much like the power steering, we’re still seeing the same throttle body failures that started in 2010 continue in 2012.

Takata recall - 2012 Ford Fusion; I received a letter in March 2017 regarding the safety issue and the need to replace my passenger airbag. I have contacted my local dealer, grand ledge Ford, several times over the past year and am continually told the part is not available and I will receive another letter when it is. A year is an unreasonable amount of time to wait on a part to rectify such a safety hazard. What is the resolution for this matter?

"takata recall" I received a letter last year March of 2017 that the inflator in the passenger airbag needed to be replaced. They listed all the possible dangers if not replaced in a timely manner; yet I still have not been notified to have this problem resolved. I have contacted dealers on my own but they have no replacement part in stock. My daughter drives this car a lot, and I am very concerned that the longer we delay the more likely an accident can occur. Is there any other avenue for replacement??

Takata recall. I have a recall letter dated March 2017. I called the dealership and Ford regarding a timeframe for the repair to be done. I was told when the parts are available, Ford will contact us. So, I have to drive a car that may kill my passenger if I should get into an accident. Why send a letter and not repair the car"?" Ford should have to make arrangements if they cannot back the recall. The recall is only worth the paper it's written on. Shame on NHTSA and Ford Motor Company. You are both a joke!

Takata recall I received a notice one year ago about a recall to my front passenger airbag. The notice states that the airbag could rupture in an accident and may cause metal fragments to strike passengers resulting in serious injury or even death. I have not received any further communication about this dangerous safety issue. I just called Ford to make an appointment to get this fixed, and they said they still don't have the parts. So I've been driving myself and my child around in a car that could kill us in an accident for a whole year, with no resolution in sight. This is unacceptable.

Takata recall. The most recent motor trend magazine said that Ford is required to fix this now-page 12. I called the dealer and talked to the dealer supervisor and he said they don't have the part. My wife will not even drive this car now. I am at a loss at what to do I would like them to uninstall the airbag to eliminate the danger. They said they could not do that. The dealer is five star Ford in plano, tx. Motor trend said to contact you, Ford and the better business bureau. My car has been on the recall list for several months.
