CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2011 Fusion builds off the 2010's reputation. That's not a good thing.

The first thing that jumps out is the ridiculous amount of power steering complaints. It grinds, it squeals, and it eventually just fails.

And if losing power steering isn’t enough for you, how about a sudden loss of engine power? That combination is enough to achieve clunker status.

Takata recall - delivery/manufacture still have not replaced passenger airbag inflator issue or provided alternative transportation/solution. Use passenger seat/area daily as commute with wife and 2 children. Live in a high-humidity state (fl) which is at a greater risk.

Takata recall: This situation is real, but Ford has lacked a sense of urgency to fix/correct this serious and potentially fatal lethal problem. July 2016, first Ford notice received. Since then, the same notice received on March 2017 and March 2018. The first two stated "when parts are available" they will contact me by mail, and I am to arrange for repairs with a /local Ford dealer. The March 2018 information states that "Ford is working as quickly as possible to make replacement parts available......" estimated for the spring, 2018. Somehow, that sounds vaguely familiar! other manufacturers have been correcting this problem for some time. Honda has been sending out personnel to directly contact owners. Yet Ford has been unable to do anything but wait ( on what ? ) ! obviously, for some reason, Ford no longer has any regard for safety. They are spending money on new developments ( reported $11 billion on an electric car), but apparently nothing on this know lethal hazard. Why has Ford been allowed to continue for over 2 years without any correction or real attempt to correct this situation, while others have? when will NHTSA step in (or be able to) demand some immediate corrective action by Ford? I have car which I can't trade or sell nor should by driving. Ford did not offer any alternative solutions during my discussions with them.

Takata recall. I received a recall announcement dated July 2016. My local dealer informed me again today 3/14/2018 that the parts are still unavailable. In a letter from December 2017, Ford states that no one is allowed to sit in the first row passenger seat. Please let me know why a remedy is taking so long and when I can expect this repair. This situation needs a solution promptly. Takata recall. It has now been more than 18 months since I received the first notification of this recall. I frequently have 5 people who need to travel in this vehicle, so not using the passenger seat is not an option. Ford needs to install the new airbags, buy back all affected vehicles, or pay for car rentals when front passenger seat is required.

My vehicle is a part of the recall for airbag. My car was purchased and lived in Texas until 2016. I know the recall has been prioritized by hgottes and most humid regions to least. I know live in Oregon which is in the last zone to get the repair however based on the recall my a car should be repaired with a zone. My local Ford dealership says there is nothing they can do so I have to cart my family around knowing that the airbag could end up deploying and killing one of my children or wife. Please help me resolve this issue.

Takata inflators. Got a notice for a recall on airbags for my car. There is still no remedy to fix it and they said not to have anyone in front passenger seat. How am I supposed to drive my car with no front passengers. This is ridiculous and needs to be fixed asap or they can make my car payment or get me a new car that I can drive with my family in.

Takata recall. Based on www.airbagrecall.com, my airbags were recalled on June 1 2016. I recently received notification that Ford is still trying to find replacements and they will notify me when this happens. I have a busy and long commute to and from work so this recall may pose a problem should an unfortunate circumstance happen to me while driving. I am unsure of what defines a "timely response" for the replacements are, but I hope this issue can be resolved soon.
