Car was taken to Ford dealership to have the recalls done for the transmission, fuel tank evap and door latch. Ford completed the recalls for the fuel system and door latch at this poticular time the transmission was not fixed.(did not pass Ford shutter test). At this time the check engine light was on because of the transmission, according to the Ford dealership. I picked the car up amd drove with my son the vehicle did not drive right because transmission issues. I contacted the dealership again after contacting Ford Motor Company about my concern with the drivability of the car. I made an appointment but had to wait approximately three weeks because they were replacing the floor in their shop. The check engine light remained on the entire time until the appointment. After dropping he car off and Ford diagnosing the problem, I received a call saying Ford motor is now covering the transmission and they will have to wait for parts to finish it. At this time they also informed me that the check engine light is now on because of the purge valve. I had barely driven the car since the last visit when the recalls were taken care of?? they stated that the purge valve would not be covered because the recall had been completed on the fuel tank. Reluctantly I told them to replace at my cost. The dealership called to say the vehicle was complete. I picked it up that evening and made it 7 miles away from the dealer and the check engine light came on once again. I called the dealer immediatley to let them know and they could not get me in right away. My son and I took it for a ride the following day and approximaty 40 miles the car lost power and could not go above 40mph on the interstate. I called to make another appointment when they diagnosed this time both catylitic convertors are bad and will cost $2100 to repair. What caused these to go bad this was not an issue until reca

We had a little over a quarter tank of fuel. We going shopping so we topped off the fuel tank this morning. After we drove approximately 80 miles, it started snowing heavily. I noticed something with the car. I had no acceleration like the engine died. Regained power for a few minutes until the engine died. I was lucky enough to park on the side of the road. Tried restarting the engine several times. After a half hour, I tried again only for the engine to sputter to and idle. It idled for 3 or 4 secondsand died again. After another half hour I tried again. I started and ran about ten minutes. I had the car towed home in fear of stalling out again.

Vehicle was in motion when the 'stop safely now' alert came on and disabled power to the car. I was able to stop the vehicle safely but unfortunately, it didn't turn on again so it had to be towed to my house. After trying multiple times with no luck, I had it towed to the Ford dealer for inspection and repairs. I know this defect is known by Ford since some recalls have been issued but to try to repair the concern. My car's 'electric unique component' 8 year warranty is still valid but Ford is trying to charge me for the repairs. The vehicles 12V battery died due to the problem but they made me purchase a new one for $180. I believe I shouldn't have been charged since the issue was caused by the cars defect. The car has been at the dealer for 2 weeks with no resolution. I just feel I wanted to make a complaint to maybe get assistance with Ford acknowledging that the issue should be covered under the warranty. Thank you for your time and attention.

I was then forced to go to the emergency lane. I was almost ran over by two semi trucks coming from the right side of highway 80. I had it serviced at phil long Ford chappel hills in Colorado springs and they wanted $4500 to fix it.

Radiator replaced at 77,600, coolant still drops to the min- line. No reasoning on where the coolant is going.

Everytime I pump gas in my car and I turn it back on, it wants to die immediately. One time it took about 5 tries before it actually worked. I had just gotten the recall done for the fuel tank where it was reprogrammed so it can detect an issue with the canister purge valve. And now my engine hesitates to start.

Vehicle was recalled for NHTSA #18V735 canister purge valve/fuel tank deformation. When vehicle was taken to sheehy Ford of gaithersburg dealership (Maryland) for clutch replacement in July, 2019, dealership also checked recalled cpv and deemed it was fine at that time. In early October, 2019, approximately two months later, cpv starts failing, remaining "stuck" open, and vehicle doesn't start after fueling. When it finally starts, vehicle's engine needs to be revved in order to keep from stalling. Ford and dealership say they will no longer pay for replacement of recalled cpv because "it was fine when they checked it" two months prior. Owners with recalled vehicles have until December 31, 2019 for reimbursement of prior cpv fix or covered replacement of failed, recalled part, however. While this has not yet caused an accident, it is a safety hazard, it is a recalled part on our vehicle, and Ford should still cover replacement of recalled parts, especially as we are within the given time frame of covered replacement. Also, if we had not had to bring vehicle in for clutch replacement just two months earlier, the recall would still be open on our vehicle.
