On September 5, 2020, I was traveling in my 2019 F250 on a slight downhill two lane road at approximately 50 mph when I encountered a bump in the road caused by a root growing under the pavement. Upon striking the bump, the front end suspension began to violently shake and vibrate to such an extent that I almost lost control of the truck. I was able to apply the brakes and at around 30 mph the violent shaking ceased. I immediately recognized this "death wobble" from many articles and reports that I have seen online regarding this model truck. This is a very dangerous condition and we are lucky to have escaped unscathed.

On September 5, 2020, I was traveling with my minor son going approximately 50 mph on a two lane road downhill when I hit a bump in the road caused by a tree root. The front of the truck began to shake so violently that I almost lost control. I was able to apply my brakes and the violent shaking stopped when my speed was at or below 30 mph. I immediately recognized this phenomenon as the more commonly known "death wobble." This "death wobble" is extremely dangerous. My F250 has 25,400 miles on it, has never been offroad, has never pulled a heavy load, and has had all scheduled routine maintenance. The vehicle is still under warranty but there is clearly a very dangerous condition related to the suspension and/or steering.

Sometimes when hitting a bump while driving at speeds over 60mph the front of my truck will start to violently shake making it hard to steer and keep control over the vehicle. The truck continues to shake until I slow down to around 25mph and then the shaking stops and it drives fine.

The truck shakes violently at hwy speeds when you go over a rough patch of road. It is bad enough it makes it almost impossible to keep it on the road. This is a very dangerous condition and needs addressed. Ford death wobble

Vehicle starts to shake excessively after hitting minor bumps in road when traveling at anything excess 25mph. Dealer refuses to fix active recall for steering dampener blaming feathered tires which we believe are a direct result from the excessive shaking of steering.

Vehicle mileage was ~23,500. While towing a gooseneck trailer that I had previously towed several times, on I-74 on wet pavement, speed 70 mph the steering wheel and vehicle began to shake violently after driving over a bump in the road. The vibration frequency was probably something like 4 hz. I gradually slowed the vehicle with sustained vibrations occurring until speed was approximately 35 mph. I stopped the vehicle and inspected all truck and trailer tires and the steering linkage but I could not find anything abnormal. I contacted the local dealership and was told the truck was still safe to drive. This phenomenon reoccurred several times over the next 15 miles. This was easily the most violent shaking and frightening experience due to a vehicle malfunction I have ever encountered. In winter driving conditions, I suspect I would have lost control of the vehicle. I completed the trip at speeds under 60 mph and the vibrations did not return. Once I unhooked from the trailer, the vibrations returned driving down a township road at 55 mph. Each time this occurs, it is started by driving over a bump in the road. The frequency and amplitude of the vibrations are constant while decreasing vehicle speed until the vibrations stop, typically around 30-40 mph. To date I have received no notifications of recalls related to this phenomenon. The dealership I purchased this truck from stated that they had "heard of this problem in some 2017 models, but never in a 2019 model." This truck is primarily highway driven. It is completely unacceptable that any suspension components should wear enough to cause a potential safety issue in less than 25,000 miles. Ford should be held responsible for fixing this issue.

On three different occasions within the past month while driving at highway speeds on smooth road surfaces, my vehicle began violently shaking making it almost uncontrollable. Initially I assumed I had a blowout and slowed and pulled off to the shoulder. Once I slowed to less than 20 mph the shaking ceased and my truck felt normal. I resumed my drive without issues. The last time this happened I was going 70 mph on a crowded urban tollway and was unable to slow down immediately due to heavy traffic. The truck is not drivable at guest speeds and I was fortunate to be able to pull off the roadway and avoid an accident. I have a 2019 Ford F-250 just over one fear old that has never been driven off road or or modified. I called my tire dealer and he said this was common. People are going to get killed if this isn't investigated! it feels that the front suspension /steering get in to some sort of resonance that builds rapidly and will not stop until speed goes below about 20 mph. Each time this occurred at guest speed of 70-80 mph. I have an appoint to have a torsion bar placed mext weekend as my tire man says this is common and will fix it. I should not have to pay as my truck is under warranty.

On 9/8/20 I experienced violent shaking after crossing a bridge on I-29 in Iowa. The shaking was so violent it was difficult to control and pull over to the shoulder. We were towing our fifth wheel which made this even more concerning. Researching the "death wobble" on F250S which is well documented is a huge concern for our family.

My truck has the death wobble. I was diving 70 mile per hour when I hit a bump and the truck started shaking uncontrollably. I almost lost control of my truck I had to make a complete stop on a 75 mph highway. My whole family was in the truck when that happened. This problem needs to be corrected I took my truck to the dealer and they said they'll fix the steering linkage damper. But the tires need to be aligned and the shims need to repaired also. And they want to charge me $450. This needs to be done for free there is no reason a brand new truck should have this problem. This is a safety issue and it all should be covered under a safety recall.

Vehicle purchased on 2/27/20 at goldy automotive in huntington, wv with 19912 miles. Returned to goldy automotive on 7/31/20 to have vehicle serviced and tires rotated. Left dealership on 7/31/20 at approximately 6:30 pm. At highway speed of approximately 65 mph, the vehicle began shaking violently leaving me unable to steer, having a near miss with a tractor trailer before being able to safely exit the highway. Called manager at goldy auto immediately. He sent a replacement truck to my home, picked up vehicle that was shaking violently and returned it to goldy auto on 8/1 to check the vehicle for damage. 8/1/2020, the truck shaking violently was returned to me same day, assuring everything was fixed and in good condition. 8/5/2020 I drive the truck, truck shakes violently again at highway speeds, almost causing yet another crash. 8/10/2020 I return the truck to goldy auto, whom verified my concerns, and listed that "outer tie-rods worn, track bar bushings worn" and made me aware of a recall on the steering dampener. Goldy auto did not tow the vehicle, but sent me out in the unsafe truck with instructions to go to a Ford dealership. Goldy refused to fix any problems, because they arent a Ford dealer. 8/13/20 I take the unsafe truck to thornhill Ford. I give them the documentation of what goldy auto determined to be wrong with the vehicle. Thornhill Ford refuses to fix any of the items listed by goldy auto, only replacing the steering dampener, as instructed by Ford. I do not feel this vehicle is safe to drive, however until it shakes violently again, the dealership will not act to prevent it from ever happening again.

When driving on rough roads or bad spots in roads front suspension being as ridged as it is will cause tires to bounce, and if you should be on a curve will actually cause your vehicle to bounce drift suddenly. This experience is magnified when towing a vehicle which puts more weight on the rear and less on the front wheels bounce drifting has been as bad as 12" from original position. Something needs to be done to suspension to not be so ridged worst on freeways at high speeds it happens unexpectedly when driving and is a common problem on all Ford F250 Super Duty it has happened multiple times always due to bad roads or uneven transition

At highway speeds, truck hits a bump and jumps sideways. Twice it has happened in a corner and caused the rear wheels to fish tail. The truck has jumped as far as half a lane to the side when this happens. Ford has replaced the steering dampner under warranty, with no effect on the problem. Now they are stating they cant duplicate the concern and my tires are causing the issue.

After experiencing the truck shaking on the road with no load, we took the truck in with less than 8K miles on it - Ford said the problem was fixed and less than 2 weeks later, and on the freeway at 60 mph, I hit a small bump in the road that truck shook so violently that I almost lost control. Ford once again told us that the problem was fixed and sent the truck back to us. We have barely used it during the covid lockdown but last week I experienced the shaking to a lesser degree and I believe the problem is coming back (the truck is less that one year old with 9K miles on it!) Ford knows about this problem and is selling the trucks anyway to unsuspecting drivers - unbelieveable!

At 19,000 miles my truck would shake if you hit any kind of bump over 45 mph. At lower speeds it feels 35mph and lower like the whole front end rattles. Took I to the dealer and they said it was just the steering stabilizer and that all other joint and bushings were tight and ok. 3,000 miles later I am on a trip to spokane wa. Then back to helena, mt. Approx 630 miles round trip. On the way to spokane the front end seemed to bouncing around any time we hit a bump or uneven bridge deck. On the way back to helena it only got worse. I almost lost control on my truck 5 times as it seemed like the whole front end was going to fall off the truck. My wife was so scared that she wanted me to stop and let her out. This is my wife's daily driver and now she is to scared to even drive it anywhere. I went to Ford and told them that I had researched the problems that people are having with the same issue and it sounds like Ford just throws parts at them hoping it will fix it. These truck are going to kill someone if they done get it figured out. I now have a $50,000 truck sitting in the garage because I am to scared to let it out on thew road cause I do not want to be responsible for the death of my family or the motoring public. I am thankful that I was driving and not my wife.

I have lost steering control once at 70mph and once at 45-50 mph after hitting minor pavement bumps. The so called dreaded death wobble and both times nearly caused an accident the dealer supposedly fixed problem back in fall and now it's doing again and no longer under warranty I know longer feel safe driving this truck and that's ridiculous for a 2019 vehicle by the number of complaints you see on this I can't believe there has not been a recall issued when this is by far the most dangerous of the four recalls I have received on my truck laughable really what is Ford waiting for someone to be killed I was very near rear ended twice when slowing down as fast as possible so as not to lose control and either go off the road or hit vehicle beside
