2019 Ford F-250 has developed a death wobble at 17,000 miles this happens 65 and over miles an hour. I called Ford and it has been six days I leave messages every day and they will not call me back not sure what to do the truck is dangerous to drive. Please help
It happen around 1815, when I experience the death wobble, the truck violently started shaking and it was felted on the front end of my Ford F250 Super Duty truck. It occur at a speed of 65 miles per hour. While driving on the over pass of the freeway and going over the groove in the road. It was a frightening incident of almost losing control of my truck. If their where lots of vehicle on the road a serious accident or injuries could have occurred. I try to stop and made matters worst so I quickly let it slow way down until it almost came to a complete stop in the middle of the freeway. Today I call the dealer and was told that they are aware of the issue but no recalls. The dealer needs to come up with a satisfactory way to end the problem. Before life are lost. Thanks
I've experienced the death wobble once. Ford put a new steering dampener on the truck. 20,000 thousand miles latter I now have the same issue with the death wobble. Called Ford and they are not going to take care of it. This happened to me at 70 mph on a very busy city portion of interstate and almost got me into an accident. Ford is not willing to fix the problem and told me after talking with Ford that they were going to do this same thing and note for you guys
When you go over a bump, transition strip, overpass in the road the truck the wheel shakes uncontrollably and the truck wants to leave the road you have to hang on tight with both hands just to try to gain control back of the vehicle.

My wife and I were driving on interstate 70 cruising along 70 mph. When I crossed over a bridge abutment the truck began shaking vigorously and the steering wheel was hard to control. I was not able to regain control of the vehicle until I got over on the shoulder and reduced speed to around 25 mph. This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed and not covered up. Would not be good if I had my fifth wheel camper behind me with my two kids in the vehicle. The truck only has 14,000 miles on it!
Previously I experienced a significant loss of control and violent shaking while operating my vehicle at highway speeds including a back and forth movement of the steering wheel which were only resolved after reducing speed by more than 50 mph. A local dealership completed a service bulletin however a couple days later a lighter vibration occurred while driving, the dealership advised on a phone call that it was probably just rough road and that the issue was fixed. Today the issue occurred again, the steering wheel moved more than 20 degrees and the vehicle wasn't able to stay in the lane of travel, the vehicle had to be brought to almost a complete stop before it became controllable again.
My 2019 Ford F250 with 16K miles experienced a major steering shaking I.e. "death wobble" after hitting a small transition on a bridge approach at 62 miles per hour on flat pavement. This occurred three times while traveling down the highway on my way home. I inspected the steering components and they appear to be severely worn out, especially the track bar and tie rod bearings/bushings.
In highway or expressway driving with speed limits of 55 or more, after driving over a road crack, bridge expansion joint, or a small bump the truck shakes violently and looses ability to steer. Any change in speed worsens it as well as braking. Condition continues until truck reduces speed to around 30mph.
Truck experienced uncontrollable steering wobble after traveling over bumps in the road at 55 mph. Applying brakes made the wobble worse until under 20 mph. Truck was violently shaking followed by drifting into oncoming lane.
When hitting a bump in the road makes no difference on local road or highway while driving the trucks shakes to the point that I almost lose all ability to steer
While traveling on the interstate at 73 mph the truck began a violent shaking that nearly ripped the steering wheel from my grasp. The shaking ceased after I slowed the vehicle to 40 mph. I slowed down in the center lane of 3 because I was unable to do more than keep the vehicle in the lane.
I was traveling straight at 70 mph on the highway. The uneven road surface caused the truck to begin to rapidly and harshly shake uncontrollably. I had to slow almost to a stop to allow the truck to stop shaking. I slowed down and switched lanes. A few miles ahead at 60 mph the same problem occurred. This is not safe at all.
The death wobble occurs at speed 60 mph or over. If one tiny bump is hit while on a highway, the truck shakes uncontrollably until the speeds drops to around 40 mph. It seems to be happing more frequently.
Violent and uncontrollable shaking of vehicle when driving highway speeds. "death wobble". issue had been "resolved" by local dealership and damper was replaced. Issue happened again months after initial repair.
Over that past few weeks I've been experiencing intermitent shaking caused by bumps in the road. It happens above 50mph when hitting inconsistencies in the road. I did some research and it seems this is a known issue refered to as the "death wobble". I havent experience full loss of control but I want this addressed asap. This vehicle is not safe to operate with this issue. Ford needs to fix this before people get killed.
10/9/2020 am driving onto 4 lane highway at 65mph starting to enter highway from the on ramp. Hit pothole at highway joint and truck started a violent shake in the front end. Shaking was so violent I and to brake hard to get down to 40mph for shaking to stop. 10/9/2020 pm driving on 4 lane highway at 65mph (different highway). Hit rough section oft highway and truck started a violent shake in the front end. Again so violent I and to brake hard to get down to 40mph for shaking to stop. 1013/2020 am driving on 4 lane highway at 65mph. Exiting highway to start on exit ramp, hit pothole at highway joint and truck started a violent shake in the front end. So violent I had to brake hard to get down to 40mph for shaking to stop. Items on passenger side of truck shook so hard they fell to the floorboards. The shaking in the steering wheel made me loose grip initially on each instance.
When driving over 50 mph from asphalt roadway onto concrete overlooking pass, the truck has started to shake & wobble violently. It has only happened on the interstate at speeds above 50 mph.
I was driving on the freeway about 70mph when I drove over a small bump in the road and the steering wheel began to shake violently almost causing a crash. I held on to the steering wheel and slowed the truck down to around 15mph to get the shaking to stop. The truck only has 5494 miles on it and this seems very unacceptable. The wobble also happened 2 more times on that same trip home.
