At Highway speeds if I hit a small bump in the road it causes the front suspension to shake or Wobble to the point where I cannot stear. This has happened many many times.
While driving on an interstate highway at a speed of 75 MPH the steering wheel begin to shake violently along with the dash and loose objects in the cab. The violent shaking continued until I came to a complete stop. This happened 3 more times on this day and along the same stretch of highway. This happened at a steady speed with no application of brakes or change in direction.
My truck (2019 F250) shakes violently on highway after hitting any bump going over 55mph. Truck had the customer satisfaction program repair (20N04) done in April 2021. Truck is un controllable when it is shaking like this. Truck won-??t stop shaking until reduced speed to approx 40-45mph. No accident has occurred to this point. Truck is up repaired at this point.
Minor imperfections on highway, going 55-70 mph, causing violent shaking.Have to slow almost to stop to get shaking to stop.Shaking is serious enough to get someone killed.(perfect description is death wobble).PRoblem has been occurring since approximately 5000 miles, bought vehicle new.

We were on our way home Saturday and hit a small bump on the bridge and the front end started shaking out of control the whole truck was wobbling. We had to slow down immediately almost to a stop. It was a scary moment I-??m glad no other vehicles were around us when this happened!!
This vehicle suffers from the Ford death wobble on the freeway when driving with the flow of traffic. We were traveling south on I-5 and hit some bumps on the road which began the process of the whole truck shaking. The steering wheel went out of control and the whole body was visibly shaking. There were no accidents but we had to pull off the freeway and stop the vehicle. I have a video of the incident if needed.
Front end began shaking violently at 70mph after going over a rough bumpy patch. Pulled over checked lug nuts (all tight). Started driving and happened again at about 60mph, very violent front end movement again with a series of small bumps. Got off turnpike and drove slow with no issues. Was able to recreate the wobble a third time at about 60mph in a safe area. Going straight each time. Vehicle is uncontrollable when it occurs.
Driving on freeway at 80mph posted idaho freeway speed went into voilent death wobble front end head shake which sent me into center median out of control it started from going over overpass i e bridge so voilent it thru my hands from steering wheel until i could get it under control.ford first said it was a recall for steering dampner then changed it over to warrenty work haven't been on freeway since with it nervous might do it again and might not get has lucky next time ford tells me its all good with the new steering stablelizer also the problem ruined tires dont feel like being a crash dummy for ford so im staying away from freeway for as long as i can help it definite problem.
I was driving north on US 521 between Sumter and Rembert, South Carolina. Without warning, my vehicle began to violently shake. I held on tightly to the steering wheel as it was almost uncontrollable. It was an extremely scary situation as I could hardly maintain control among passing cars and a narrow road shoulder. I braked slowly, pulled partially off the road (extremely narrow shoulder after curb), and engaged my emergency flashers. As I was getting out my truck, I assumed I had one or both front tires were flat. Upon inspection, none of the tires were damaged/flat. I then returned to the truck and drove very slowly (30 MPH) to the post office in Rembert, SC to inspect underneath the truck to see if anything was loose or broken. Nothing was found during visual inspection. I had approximately 20 miles to go before I could reach my home; thus, I drove slowly. Upon arriving home, I called my local Ford dealership and told them what happened. They stated Ford had issued a memo stating if anyone had this problem to replace the steering damper/stabilizer. I have an appointment for this November 6, 2021. Later that day, I began researching all the Ford and diesel forums to see if anyone had this same experience. I was amazed how many truck owners had the same occurrence while driving and the condition had a name; the DEATH WOBBLE. I have been researching the death wobble for the past few days and every site/forum came to the same conclusion: replacing the steering damper/stabilizer is only a Band-Aid fix. The problem will reoccur within a few months. Most recommended changing to upgraded shocks, dual steering dampers/stabilizers, and a new front end alignment. Ford has only issued a memo, no recall; therefore, if I had not experienced this I would have never known. I tow a 40 ft 5th wheel and I do not know if I can trust this truck. What would have happened if I were towing my camper? Something must be done before someone is injured or dead.
Today while driving on the highway at 75 miles per hour, the front end of my vehicle suddenly started violently shaking. It felt like a blow out had occurred on both front tires. The entire front of the vehicle shook like an earthquake, and the steering wheel shook so hard that I had difficulty holding onto it to control the vehicle as I slowed to a stop. It was difficult to hold it straight, as not to allow it into the other lane. There were no warning lights or notifications on the dash. I got out and walked around to inspect the vehicle, and there was nothing apparently wrong. I continued driving, and within a 400 mile trip, this same event occurred 3 times. The truck is well aligned, as I can generally remove my hands from the steering wheel and it remains moving straight forward when driving. The tires have a good tread, and they have appropriate air pressure. This was the 1st time I-??ve ever experienced anything like this in a vehicle. After I got home from the trip, I researched online and learned that many people have experienced such events in the Ford F-250 and F-350. They refer to it as the death wobble. It seems negligent of Ford to refuse to recall these vehicles or the parts that need to be replaced. If I had been on an interstate highway when this occurred today, I would very likely have had an accident.
Severe shuddering in the steering after encountering a rough road surface at 65 mph. Heavy braking was required before safe control of the vehicle was obtained at less than 50 mph. Some milder shuddering has occurred at speeds less than 50 mph. The vehicle had 41,000 miles on the odometer when this occurred so normal wear and tear should not be the cause unless the OEM components are defective. The truck is available for inspection and my local dealership has been notified.
I was driving down the highway going 75mph and hit a slight bump on the overpass and my vehicle began to shake very violently. I had to come to a complete stop in the middle of the highway with people flying by me. There was no shoulder for me to pull over and it was by far one of the most terrifying experiences I-??ve been apart of in a vehicle. This is known as the Death Wobble and it-??s a huge safety issue. There was no warning and I had to think quickly on my feet. Luckily my family wasn-??t with me.
Vehicle has 19,600 miles and recently when entering Interstate and going over a rough area on the highway at 60 - 65 mph the front end steering started a very violent shaking causing the vehicle to be hard to control and forcing me to slow down so rapidly it caused other vehicles behind me to have to swerve to keep from running into the rear of my vehicle. The shaking stopped after I came to a stop on the side of the road and has not happened again but have only driven a few miles since this occurred.
I have experienced rapid, violent vibrations in the front suspension (aka "death wobble") in my 2019 Ford F-250 numerous times. I have taken it back to the dealership (Loveland Ford) where I purchased and have my vehicle services through. It started with less that 10,000 miles on it. Ford came out with a recall to replace the steering dampener and Ford has replaced it twice, have done an alignment on the vehicle. It seemed to have been better but I don't drive the interstate that often anymore and have since experienced it a number of times. Ford now tells me they have done everything they can but I just experienced it again and I have just under 30,000 miles on this truck. I am sure you are aware of the concerns but if not, just google death wobble, 2019 Ford F-250, I am not the only one. This is very concerning to me because each time I have had to slow down from 75 to 35 to get it to stop and my concern is this is going to cause and accident or vibrate so violently that it will cause a crash.
When driving at highway speeds (45mph plus) the vehicle has twice begun to shake/shudder violently when going over a bump. When this occurs, the only option is to slow down and pullover as quickly as possible whereupon the shaking subsides. All tires are inflated to the proper PSI and the vehicle was not being used for towing when this occurred. The vehicle only has 30,000 miles and has been taken into the dealership per the maintenance schedule for inspection and maintenance.
