The malfunction was receiving "Death Wobble" on three occurrences in less than a 24 hour period driving less than 50 miles in total. This is a safety issue to all passengers and other drivers on the road due to inability to steer and control the vehicle safely. The problem has been confirmed by the Manufacturer as "death wobble" or "vehicle shimmying". The vehicle has been inspected by the manufacturer and identified as the problem of "death wobble" There are no indications prior to this malfunction occuring.

Driving my F250 with 20k miles. Going about 60-65 mph on the highway. Traffic slows ahead so I apply light to medium pressure on the brakes and the steering wheel starts shaking violently. Pressing the brake harder or none at all had no effect. It stopped shaking so bad once under about 40. Very scary. I heard about this but have never experienced it. I have a message into my dealer, but now that I read online about all the complaints, this is a very serious safety issue and should be addressed. These are way too heavy of a vehicle to be on the road with this type of safety issue. Please look into it.

I was driving on the freeway (75mph) and my truck went into a death wobble. The whole truck was shaking like all 4 tires went flat. I immediately tried to slow the vehicle down and pull over. Luckily there was no traffic and I did not cause an accident. Once the vehicle slowed down to about 20mph it smoothed out and no longer wobbled. This happened on the 16th of November and hasn't happened since.

Driving at posted limit on I55, left front hit small bump in road and front end shook violently for about 20-30 seconds. Steering damper replaced 5 days later, per TSB 21-2173, but no root cause indicated. Concern that this may lead to injury until fully repaired.

While driving my 2019 F250 (which has just over 6,000 total miles on it at this time) at highway speed towing an empty trailer (which I have had for several years and towed with several vehicles before) the truck started shaking violently! I could hardly control it and had to dramatically slow way down to get the violent shaking to stop. This happened 4 times on two trips in the last couple weeks with two different trailers. It is definitely the truck and not the trailers. Fortunately no cars were immediately next to me or the results would have been tragic. The truck is essentially new, has been stored indoors all the time, very well maintained, no accidents or abuse so no reason it would be having any issue much less such a severe one.

On 12/5/21 - at approximately 11:00am, I driving my 2019 Ford F-250 towing a utility trailer and an ATV. My speed at the time was 60 mph, and I have 41,211 miles on the truck. As I started to make a lane change the steering wheel started to violently shake, and the entire front end of the truck started to violently shake as well. It was all I could to do keep from crashing into another vehicle. Fortunately, I was able to slow down and pull off of the roadway before causing a traffic accident. It was an extremely stressful and scary situation! When I arrived home I googled the situation I had experienced to see if there might be an explanation as to why this had occurred. I was shocked to learn that what I had experienced (-??The Death Wobble-??) had been well documented, that Ford had known about the problem for years, and there was a class action lawsuit had been filed. I am making this complaint hoping either a recall is issued or Ford will do the right thing and correct the problem ASAP.

This 2019 Ford F250 has a classic case of the "Death Wobble". Anytime the vehicle is travelling over 50 mph and hits a bump the truck shakes violently. It shakes bad enough to throw the contents of the door pockets throughout the interior. It is extremely dangerous when this occurs travelling on the crowded freeways of South Florida where I live and work. This is not an unknown condition of Ford trucks. A simple google search produces pages and pages of documented incidents.

Vehicle begins violently shaking as described as the Death Wobble at highway speeds in excess of 50mph, after crossing onto uneven pavement, or driving through a rough patch in roadway, or bridge expansion joint. Steering wheel vibrates back and forth and steering becomes unresponsive and speed must be decreased immediately to regain control of the vehicle.

The truck started shaking uncontrollably while we were on the highway (65 mph).this has happened before for short periods of time, this time was much longer and scarier. It wouldn-??t stop until we pulled over on the highway and came to a complete stop. We-??ve noticed this happens if the truck is turning and going over a bump. This vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle has not been inspected yet, we left a message at Hiller Ford in Franklin, WI to set up an apt. There were not any warning signs and so thankful that my husband was able to keep the vehicle under control while traveling at high speed.

While driving down the highway at approximately 60 mph hit a rough area that had just been patched by the highway department and the front end started shaking violently. Could not steer the truck and had to brake to 25mph for the shaking to stop. This has happened four times. The truck was bought in Dec 2019 and has 12,000 miles on it. It has been serviced by the Ford dealership and has all original factory equipment. My safety and others on the highway was put at risk when this happened. No warning at all when it happened. While driving 65mph and passing a slower vehicle I hit a minor uneven spot in the road. The steering wheel started violently shaking and almost caused me to lose control of the truck. I was able to slow down and pull to the shoulder. This is the 3rd time it has happened to me with this 2019 F250. The first time it happened I was headed home from vacation. The next day it happened again. I reported to Ford and they replaced the damper assembly. This last time was the most violent event. I reported on this website as well. 1st event was approximately at 12,000 miles. This time at 24,000 miles. I bought the truck new in 2019. This happened both times without warning. I can-??t get it into dealer until 12/06/2021.
