If you pull onto a road and try to accelerate, the vehicle is unresponsive. The RPMs will increase, yet the vehicle drive train (10 Speed Transmission) is unresponsive for several seconds. This has been an ongoing issue with the vehicle since new and was first reported to Ford Customer service on Jan 2022. Ford has made several attempts to fix this issue, yet the transmission continues to fail with the same issue. This is a critical safety issue that jeopardizes the passengers in the vehicle. Vehicle parking brake engages without notice. At any given time, the electronic parking brake engages without warning and you have to manually release. While sitting at a controlled intersection, on an inclined street, waiting for traffic light to change, with vehicle in Drive, foot on the brake, the electric parking brake engaged. Vehicle shift lever moved to the park position on its own. Vehicle engages it's parking brake and moves shift lever into Park while sitting in traffic is very dangerous. Vehicle shift column failed in drive and vehicle would not move or run. This caused drive train to lock in place, freezing all four tires. Ford had to drag truck onto flat bed with tires locked. It had to be dragged off flatbed when delivered to Ford dealer for repair. They had to put grease down on the flatbed so truck would slide off without tires rolling. While at the dealership, the mechanic had to manually disconnect the calipers in order to move vehicle. The safety backup features failed and would not release wheels (lever under steering column).

High-speed highway travel this morning. Switched lanes and pressed accelerator; engine cut out. Seemed to be in no gear for 6-9 seconds before lurching into power again. Incident was very dangerous and forced a rapid slowing in fast lane affecting traffic behind me. This has happened 4 times in the past 8 months.

My 2021 F-150 Powerboost randomly shuts down on the highway and while pulling out into traffic. When it shuts down the steering and brakes work but the engine is off/no acceleration and the truck displays a warning telling me to "Stop Safely Now". Truck has been look at many times by Ford and every time they give it back to me it happens again. There appears to be either and electrical or software issue but after 3 months Ford doesn't seem to know what's wrong with the truck even though they have reproduced the problem. It has happened over 20 times putting me and my family at risk of getting in an accident.

10R80 transmission suddenly started showing symptoms of failure at 81,000 miles. Issues were slipping, jerking, and random gear selections. Safety was compromised when trying to merge (gas pedal pushed but truck didn't downshift initially, then drops to very low gear or from a dead stop would start in 10th gear and barely move), also when from a stop truck felt like it went into neutral when shifting into second almost causing rear end accidents and finally it would random leave shift into extremely low gear (1-2) when doing 20 causing a sudden breaking affect. Due to the safety concerns I did get the transmission replaced and symptoms have not returned. No warning lights appeared, AAMCO did the inspection as well as warranty company saying the transmission should be replaced.

While driving my truck, I attempted a merge onto interstate 80, and completely lost power. I was accelerating to merge, and when the transmission shifted the truck lost all power. This is a dangerous situation and should be addressed. I cannot believe that nothing is being done about the issue, and Ford knows about this, as my local dealership is months out on transmission repairs.. It would sure be great if the agency responsible for forcing a recall would work for us..

On Christmas Eve 2022 myself, husband and son were driving to family in NY when the truck very quickly started to make a severe grinding sound, became unable to steer, loss of control, and started to produce smoke & fire under the hood. We immediately stopped and got out unharmed. Fire was dripping out of the bottom of the truck and smoke/fire under the hood. We were lucky. Firetrucks came but were unable to do anything. The truck's wheels completely seized up - the tow truck had to skid it onto the flatbed. Repaired at Simmons-Rockwell Ford, Hallstead, PA. Complete new front differential and damaged parts in proximity to the failure (pinion gear, axle shaft, etc). 12.16.2023 -?" When moving the shift lever from Drive to Reverse, and physically feeling the two detents from Drive, through Neutral, and into Reverse, intermittently the shift lever will still indicate Neural and the vehicle will stay in Neutral even after two physical detents have been felt (i.e. the truck should indicate and be in Reverse after two physical detents). The truck and shift lever will stay in Neutral even after I remove my hand from the shift lever. The truck will only engage reverse after physically pressing the shift lever further forward within the physical Reverse detent area. There were no warnings on the dash and no trouble codes present within the system. The vehicle is available for inspection, and a video is available, however it is intermittently operating in this manner. When performing a 3-point turn on a roadway, this has led me to believe that my vehicle was engaged in Reverse, but it was in fact not, but in Neutral. This has introduced significant delay in what would otherwise be a safe maneuver and has put me and my occupants safety at risk. The local Ford dealership has updated the shift software, but it has continued to operate this same way intermittently. I have demonstrated this to the dealership service advisor and shown a video to the shop foreman, however the dealership is unwilling to replace the shifter because there is no trouble code. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other than the local Ford dealership.

On November 29, 2023 I took my 2021 F150 to Larry Miller Ford for servicing and repairs related to Recalls 22S71 and 23S35. When the tech was rotating the wheels he discovered that the axle shaft bolts were sheered off on both the left and right rear wheels. The service manager called to tell me that this was a serious safety issue and that only the brake rotors were preventing the wheels from falling off the truck. The service manager told me there was a "Customer Satisfaction Program 22B34" issued by Ford, but no Ford Recall relating to the problem. Larry Miller Ford has replaced both axles and axle bolts. I am waiting to find out if there is damage to the rotors, calipers or brake pads, a concern since the sheered off bolts were rattling around within that area since breaking off apparently between service visits. I strongly believe Ford should be required to issue a recall on this problem. I never received a notification on CSP 22B34. Had it not been for my tire rotation, the wheels could have fallen off at highway speed.

On 11-28-2023 I took my truck in for an oil change and new tires. When the wheels were removed the passenger side rear axle bolt fell out. It had been sheared off and I don't know how long I had driven it like that. The last time the wheels were off was when I had an oil change and tire rotation at the same dealership in July 2023, they did not alert me to a problem at that time. The dealer said it was unsafe to drive and I should leave it there to await parts and service. My truck is a 2021 F-150 Ecoboost with the Max Tow Package. It has 54,520 miles on it. The dealer service department has not looked at it to determine if it is an eligible warranty repair or not at this time but it is scheduled to be inspected today. There were no warning lamps or messages given related to this problem at any time. My own research online indicates that hundreds of other 2021 and later F150 owners with the Max Tow Package have had the same problem of axle bolts breaking. No accidents or injuries have been reported that I know of but there has been lots of inconvenience because owners are told the trucks are unsafe to drive. The dealers are saying that the axles must be changed.

The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-150. The contact stated while stopped the vehicle was at a stop light, the vehicle displayed a message reading "Service Advanced Auto Track, " requiring the vehicle to be shifted into park and restarted. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The engine kill switch warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to three individual dealers, who were all unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 31,000.
