The car showed message -?? auto startstop shift to p, then restart engine -?? and lost power on highway, I shift to p and restart engine, the message showed again and couldn-??t drive. It was very dangerous.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that after parking and turning the vehicle off upon returning and restarting the vehicle it was discovered that the driver side running board was stuck in the down position and the passenger side running board was stuck in the up position. Also, the air bag warning light remained illuminated, the front passenger and driver side windows would not operate and could not be opened and the air conditioning was inoperable. The cause of the failures was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 44,000.
The back up camera started not working intermittently. Then it failed completely and all you get when in reverse is a blue screen. There is a NHTSA recall for 2019 Ford F-150 for the exact same issue. Recall #22V25200. Ford has refused to fix the issue as a recall. This has been going on for two months.
My electrical system failed and then caught fire. The entire situation started 4 days ago where my "dome" or "cargo" light kept turning on even though the car was off. 3 days ago my alarm would go off every 15 minutes until I unplugged the battery. I disconnected the battery over night hoping to reset the computer. After reconnecting the battery I got a rear "LEFT REAR door ajar" message on the dash. After inspecting the sensor and wiring harness in LEFT REAR door, I found no issue. However, now "FRONT LEFT door ajar" message appeared on dash along with "LEFT REAR door ajar." Also a litany of other warning lights involving cameras, emergancy braking, etc. came on. While attempting to drive to dealership to have them inspect the issue. The wiring harness behind the back seat on the RIGHT SIDE of the vehicle began smoking. Smoke began billowing from behind the seatbelt opening in the plastic trim on the backside of the door frame.
We were parked in a store parking lot after driving truck for 45 mins. Truck was turned off for 30 mins. Put the key in to start truck and nothing electrical worked. No dash lights, no chiming, no lights, nothing at all electrical worked. Turned key to start and nothing. It was like it was in a sleep mode. After about 5 mins of trying everything electrical and checking battery terminals I tried the radio power on button and everything came back on. It has been fine with no issues for 2 days now. I just hate to have it happen while driving. I called the Ford dealership near me and he they didn't know what it could be. Told me if it happens again to let them know right away. There were no warning lamps, messages or symptons before. I couldn't find anything lose around battery.

I have had the engine shut off while driving -?? due to the code auto start stop shift to park-?? I could-??ve been in an accident this is the 4th time this has happened. Fix this issue
The collision warning appears random and not even close to a vehicle. I-??m Alamo experience problems with the power train (truck jerks) and not other problems. I have been having the same problems since 2020. My truck is at the dealership and now Ford engineers are involved because the trucks has multiple codes and unable to figure out the problem. My truck has been at the dealership since May 17-June 1st and June 7 to current.
While driving, the vehicle shut off (three times now). This occurred once while turning onto another road and the vehicle stalled in a lane of traffic. When this happens, the vehicle makes you shift to park and restart the vehicle. It displays a message about auto start/stop (attached). Every time has been at relatively low speed.
Vehicle shut down while moving and displayed message ' auto start stop shift to P then restart engine' after coming to a stop with no power brakes or steering, vehicle took approximately five seconds to restart and had a difficult time doing
Ford recalls 600,000-plus vehicles to fix backup cameras included the 2020 F-150 but not the 2019 F-150. My vehicle is experiencing the same issues. In fact the cameras have been replaced by the dealer 7 times and they are still not working. I feel this should be covered under the same recall as the 2020S
Today while driving home from work, a wrench-shaped indicator light on the dashboard turned on. Following this, the display notified me that the front sensor and collision avoidance were no longer available. Afterwards, the truck began to shudder and jerk around while idling at the stoplight. The rate at which the truck could accelerate began to decrease every time I would accelerate from a complete stop (a stoplight for example). Shifts also seemed very rough. Whenever the transmission shifted, it felt like sitting in a chair on a concrete floor while somebody dropped dumbbells on the ground.
Vehicle shuts down. I was waiting in line of traffic for the traffic light to turn green. Motor stops, lights go out. Placed in neutral and tried to restart, would not start until after 3 - 4 minutes.
Noticed during summer 2020 months the truck when idling at stop would vibrate and tachometer would bounce. Recently during July to September the truck when stopped would idle rough then shut down completely having to put in park and restart the truck! the last time it did it I was sitting at a red light on a city street and it just shut down and I had to restart the truck. This has happened 4 times since July. I took it to two Ford dealers and neither could replicate the problem and told me they could not fix it.
I was decelerating down a hill. I was still doing about 20 mph while braking and I received an error saying 'auto startstop shift to P, then restart engine' and my engine shut off and I lost power steering and brakes and had to coast myself to somewhere as close to the side of the road as possible. Thank god this happened on a local rd and not a highway. I proceeded to shift to P and restart the vehicle 4 times until it allowed me to shift to drive and it actually engage so I could continue driving. This is the second time it has happened to me and the truck is less than a year old.
Truck was parked, went to unlock key fob did not work. Opened with key and had no electric power. Totally dead, checked battery with meter and it had full charge. Checked fuse's all ok. After about 5 minutes truck powered back up on its own without me doing anything except scratching my head.
