I bought a new F-150 last August from the Ford dealer in ashboro, nc. With below freezing weather the driver side door will not latch. The dealer has been contacted through a message on his website but has not responded. The last F-150 I owned did not have this problem and neither did a couple E-150 vans before that. I did have a similar problem with a Ford mustang back in the 70's but found that I could push down the door lock before slamming the door. The lock would then pop up and the door would latch. This technique did not work with the new F-150. I think this creates a dangerous situation, I.e. holding the driver side door shut since it wants to fly open during right turns. You would think that Ford would at least include a hook on the inside of the door so you could loop the seat belt through it to keep the door closed in cold weather.

On 2 different occasions the front drivers side door latch on my truck has stuck open and would not allow me to latch the door closed. I have had to drive home both times holding the door shut with my left arm and one hand steering the wheel. When going around turns I had to slow way down because the door weight multiplied with force and got very heavy and hard to stop from flying open..I dont know if the other latches on my truck would have stuck open as I was to afraid to try it and not be able to get them properly latched shut. After doing research online this is a huge wide spread problem with front and rear doors on 2015-2018 F150's and Ford fix is to smear some grease and oil on it and put a cover over the latch has not been a successful fix on any of the vehicles they have done. It is in no doubt a safety issue. If the vehicle was to roll over in an accident and the door wasnt latched it would surely be crushed and possibly come back into the cab injuring a driver or ripped of exposing the driver and or passengers to hazards outside the vehicle. Will the truck fair the same in a head on crash or front overlap crash as tested? I strongly urge whomever to take the time to investigate this issue and make Ford fix this issue.. it is very dangerous and they are not taking it seriously.

While driving over a railroad crossing, my truck died. The screen on the dash stated there was an error with the auto start/ stop feature. I had to put my truck in park to restart it while still on the train tracks. I had the auto start/ stop deactivated at the time via the button above the sync 3 screen.

The door latches on all (4) doors become inoperable when temps drop below 32 degrees. This has resulted in not being able to enter or exit the vehicle and have doors pop open on their own after being shut. This is a very dangerous problem that could result being stuck inside the vehicle and/or possibly having someone fall out of the vehicle if door were to pop open unexpectedly.

Daughter drove the vehicle home, parked it, and turned off vehicle. While inside the residence, daughter heard dogs outside barking. Daughter went to check on dogs and saw that the vehicle was on fire. The vehicle was parked and engine was not on. The vehicle fully engulfed in flames. The vehicle fire also burned a part of the exterior of the residence. The vehicle is currently still at the residence where it burned. I request that this vehicle be investigated because there was not reason for it to have caught fire. It was not involved in any type of accident.

The blind spot mirrows have been replaced by a 1/8 inch lite in the mirrow. It is hard to see if the sun / city lites are shinning in your eyes. This is the only means of seeing a vehicle in the "blind spot", this is dangerous, I only have one eye + bad vision, I have had several close calls. The back up alarm only sounds when you are 24 inches or less from an object, if it sounds at all, the first morning I backed into an object, it never gave a sound. I have had alarms since 2004, no problems. Blind spot mirrows for many years. A lot of electrical problems, I have been waiting over two weeks to get this problem fixed. The blind spot mirrows are a big safety problem. Moving & in traffic.

Stationary- bought the truck with a 6600# tow package, class iv hitch, 7 and 4 pin electric trailer plug-in and was expecting to tow a trailer. Truck had no trailer brake or tow mirrors. Any trailer exceeding 3000 lbs gvwr needs trailer brakes and tow mirrors. Had to have them installed. Should have been the manufacturers job to make towing safe for the average driver to make lane changes, make turns or brake safely. 6600 lb tow package is misleading and unsafe to the general public's safety!

I was headed home from work and my truck was stationary stopped at a stop light, and the automatic engine stop was active, with sync networked. A vehicle from behind ran into my 3 week old vehicle. The engine automatic start-stop sync started, and the engine raced to very high rpms. Throwing my head back into the headrest again. I had to press really hard upon the brakes to prevent my vehicle from slamming into the car ahead of me. At that moment my mind thought of the Toyota Camry acceleration problem years ago, and upon the vehicle returning to normal idle rpms, I double checked that my foot was actually on the brake. My foot was actually on the brake.

After I was rear ended my 2018 F150 started smoking and caught fire at the base of the post beside the driver seat where the carpet and plastic side cover come together. This happened within 10 minutes of the crash. I was traveling approximately 10 mph on a 65 mph 4 lane, slowing due to traffic congestion when I was rear ended by a 2007 Chevy pickup travelling at about 60 mph. Hitting my truck hard enough to lift the front end and land on the 4 foot highway barrier in the front, my truck continued and then stuck the truck in front of me with my passenger door causing the rear of the truck to also land on the concrete barrier. I was helped from the truck thru the right side back door by the driver of the truck my vehicle impacted. Officer was on site in about 3 minutes and wanted to move my truck first, he asked if I had anything I needed out of the vehicle. Trooper and I went to get my belongings when we noticed the smoke in the cab. I was not able to get anything from the truck because the fire started and spread quickly. Fire was only on the inside of the vehicle.
