Ford F-150 moon roof ramp/guide jaw (part # fl3Z1651070B/fl3Z1651071B) stopped working. The moon roof malfunctions getting suck in the open mode, or failing to close properly if at all. Many Ford owners have experienced the same issue, to the point that there are videos on the internet pertaining to this malfunction. While attempting to get this repair fixed at the Ford dealership the employees advised me that they see this issue often, and that the glass shatters and breaks from this malfunction. I was quoted $400 to remedy the issue, and would have to leave my vehicle at the dealership for the day. The estimated time to complete the repair was four hours.

The temperature was about 17 degrees Fahrenheit. The driver and.and driver side rear doors would not latch upon closing. I was able to get the doors to latch by heating the latch with a hair dryer, spraying the latch with silicone lube, and simultaneously operating the electric lock switch multiple times. I have had no further problems. Fortunately, I was at home when the problem occurred. Had I been on the road, I would have been stranded. The vehicle was stationary when the problem was discovered.

In below freezinng temps the door latches freeze up. Makig it hard to enter the truck and once in the doors refuse to latch closed, so unless you want to drive around with the doors unlatcked you have to wait until the truck warm up enough to thaw the latches. Not what you want from a $38K truck.
The doors will not open when the weather is below freezing. After letting the truck heat up for approximately 30 minutes, I was able to pry open the door, however when I attempted to close them, they would not latch. After another 30 minutes, I was able to close the door and press the lock button to get them to latch, but then the doors would not open at all afterwards despite my prying. This is a major safety issue as I had my toddler in the back seat and I could not access the truck. This has happened after I've already had it taken into the dealership where they performed their recall fix, the fix did not work and they say they have nothing else they can do.

On Dec 27 owner opened the rear right door of the vehicle, when attempting to close the door it was observed that the latch did not function due to possible ice accumulation on the locking mechanism of the door. Suspect that the door is allowing too much water in during mild to moderate rain events and the door has a design flaw resulting in inadequate drainage and air circulation in the door causing the locking mechanisms to fail. Vehicle was not able to be driven on the 27th as the ice had not melted yet and the latch continued to fail. On the 29th, the door was finally able to latch again after it warmed up. Below are some of the meteorological conditions during that time. Vehicle could not be secured during this time and the door had to be ratchet strapped shut from the inside. During the day of Dec 26 through night of the Dec 27, day time highs of mid 30S and overnight lows in the low 20S with rain on Dec 24th.

I was in my driveway sitting stationary in my vehicle buckling up to depart for the store. I put my foot on the brake pedal to push the start button. After starting I moved the shift lever to put the vehicle in gear and the vehicle started to roll and my brake pedal went to the floor. Because my driveway has a slight ramp to it the vehicle kept rolling forward, I kept hitting the brake pedal but the brake pedal kept going to the floor and the vehicle would not stop. As a result I rolled into a block fence across from my driveway knocking it down and damaging my vehicle. Vehicle was just rolling under its own momentum, no power to the drive train. No injuries, but fence was down and vehicle hood and other front end areas were damaged. I have no idea what caused the brakes to fail. Filed an insurance claim and had to have vehicle towed to dealer for body repairs and neighbors fence repaired.
