Re: 19N01 transmission molded leadframe. The recalls that Ford did provide for my vehicle only included software updates that did not prevent the issue. When this failed my truck went from travelling 45 mph in 6th gear to suddenly shifting to 1st gear. I had my family in the vehicle and I was barely able to avoid having an accident. The issue was not covered by for because I was outside of the warranty coverage. This is unaccceptable because the software updates provided did not prevent this from happening.
The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 mph, the vehicle independently decelerated to 5 mph. The vehicle was turned off and restarted and operated as intended. The maintenance required light was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact contacted trotter Ford Lincoln (3801 bobo rd, pine bluff, ar 71603, (870) 535-4321) however, the mechanic was unable to provide a cause for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000.
When I?M driving the car 60 mph the car is done shifting my service keys, I cannot see how fast I'm driving I cannot see the mileage in my car and my airbag light is come on I have to stop the car started again and everything come back to normal.
Going 70 mph on the high way my truck is down shifting to a lower gear then looses power the RPM and the speedometer starts going hay wire jumping back and forth. Doing 40 mph it does the same thing and doesn't want to pick up speed. Took it to a Ford dealership and they reprogrammed the brain now the mph don't work no fuel notice it's blank.

Put truck into park to help truck ahead of us unload bed. Our truck was in park with engine on, within 3 min truck began accelerating and crushed body in between two trucks. Had to press breaks (car still rolling) shift into reverse, back into park before car would stop rolling then went into reverse.
Vehicle started nose diving as I like to call it from going 45 miles per hour to a claw. Speed controls quit working and tool light came on. Code reading: P0722, was told there was a recall for the output speed sensor (oss) and I need to check into it.
I took my 2013 F150 with an open recall to Ford dealer and was running fine before they reprogram the power control module I starting having problems when the vehicle is running speedometer going of air bag light on and also a big wrench came out on the display when I stop it only star drive in on 3rd gear to 5 gear the other gears don't work until I turn off the vehicle and turn it back on but I star driving again and does it again same thing
Oil and radiator fluid leaks causing engine smoking and nauseating odor when heater turned on while engine cold or cold exterior temps. Complete loss of engine and drive power randomly lasting 15-60secs, then all numbers ie: Gas milage, speed, mileage become dashes, speedometer quits working, on highways and city street. Pulling over shutting off and restart will reset until next random episode. Rough jerks and occasionally a bang with jerks (feel like it comes from the axels) usually at low speeds. More often in parking lots but in traffic jams on highways. Once transmission recall complete it ran fantastic for a week and a half. Now it's worse than ever and engine light comes on for a day and then goes off.
I am having trouble with my eco boost because when I start my truck I have a loud rattling sound then my truck loses power and shakes alot like a compression leak
I recently purchased this vehicle used less than a week ago. I have only driven it for about 75 miles. While driving down a busy street at 45 miles an hour the truck down shifted to first gear and simultaneously the speedometer stopped working. I kept control of the vehicle but if a vehicle would have been following closely it is possible if not likely to have rear ended me. I checked the VIN and it states no open recalls. Evidently the vehicle was serviced for one of the past recalls which clearly describes this same event as an issue. I will contact the dealership grey daniels Ford in brandon ms where it was purchased for inspection.
Unexpectedly downshifting into first gear while in motion, speed ometer and mileage goes to zero, rpms starts to run high, and the tool light on the dash board comes on, in city streets and on highway driving. I have to stop and shut down the vehicle and wait a few minutes. When I start up the vehicle and put it in drive gear the transmission jerks.
I took my truck in almost a year ago in March to have recall on transmission downshift repaired. Just in the last month I have had to bring my truck in 3 times. Twice my truck downshifted while on the sh-130 tollway going 80mph and down shifting to 40 mph almost causing me to wreck or be struck by another vehicle. Again today I was driving my vehicle on hwy and engine light came on. Same effect except this time my truck refused to move without turning it off in the middle of traffic. This is 3xs my life has been in jeopardy in a short period of time. I have taken it to Ford dealership where they insisted transmission downshift issue was repaired and suggested a tune up was best option. Hundreds of dollars out and again I'm in same situation I was. 3 X near wrecking or death and all in under a month. Initial date of service 1/3/20 serviced again 1/21/20. Now need service again. I have kept up with scheduled maintenance on vehicle and it does not have very many miles on it.
On 10 Aug 2019 I took my Ford in for transmission recall, reprogramming to prevent uncontrolled downshifting. I had never had had any problems with downshifting prior to this date. Once recall was done within a week my truck drastically downshifted twice before taking it back to the dealer who performed the recall. They said there was no problem with my truck and told me my wheels locking was not a sign of downshifting. Now I continue to have downshifting issues and also am throwing a P0720 code. I just know that the downshifting broke the leadframe and I looking at a huge bill. Now vehicle goes into limp mode where I have to stop and restart my car to get speedometer to show.
This has happened 5 times. When starting to take off in low speeds, 20-30 mph, the transmission will slip into neutral then into first slowing the truck down rapidly. Also, while travelling at highway speeds on cruise control, the vehicle will drop to 5th gear and the speedometer will drop to 0, the odometer and all display panel shows nothing, the cruise will not work, and the airbag light comes on.
Truck being driven apx 55 mph and no change from me truck has sudden slowdown with speedometer drop to 40S then recovers as truck speeds up on it's own. Same day as trying to park, in drive, pressing on gas engine revs but does not move. Today (7 days later) accelerating from stop transmission sticks in low gear. Has had powertrain recall applied.
I have a F150 4-wheel eco boost V6. I recently had my vehicle in for an oil change and at that time decided to have the recall done for the software update. The next few days I noticed that there was some hesitation with the gears shifting and the transmission at times would drop. I contacted the dealership to bring my truck back in at that time they could not find anything wrong but an oil pressure sensor. Some days later I was driving on the feeder road getting ready to enter the highway. As soon as I entered my speedometer stop working and the transmission dropped into 1st gear. There was a car behind me that almost collided with my truck. My family was in the car at the time and this could have been a serious accident. The next day I brought my truck back into the dealership and they did a quick diagnosis. They stated that I had transmission issues and that I needed to look into getting another vehicle through them and trading my truck out. I was upset by the response so I took my vehicle to a local transmission shop where they thoroughly inspected the truck. The findings were that the oss sensor was faulty and it pull up a P0270 code. The shop advised me that this was a warranty and safety issue and that I immediately take it back to the dealership to have it repaired. When I return to the dealership they at that time acknowledge that it was a warranty issue and could be fix, but they could not even look at it for 2-weeks and would not even provide a loaner after stating my safety concerns. I then contact Ford Motor Company and they could not assist until the dealership looked at my truck. I did state to them the time issue at the dealership but was told they have no control over what they do. I'm stuck with driving a unsafe vehicle for an issue outside of my control and no one at Ford is taking the matter seriously. This could cause a fatal or severe injury.
Engine looses all power yet is still running very poorly. Engine sputters and will not respond to throttle. Dashboard display shows a wrench. Problem occurs without any warning. Engine will usually restart after approximately 30 seconds and run normaly until next failure. Problem may occur multiple times in a day. My auto diagnostic tool gives P2111 code which indicates a throttle body problem. Problem has occured when stopped or moving at any speed. Check engine light may or may not come on ( not consistent). I contacted Ford Motor Co. Customer service department concerning this issue after reading about a "customer satisfaction program" 13N03 relating to this issue in which Ford offers to replace the faulty part at no charge as an extended warranty in lieu of a factory recall according to the NHTSA. I was told that they (Ford) may not help with this issue. I was told they would have to review my complaint and would get back to me.
While the vehicle was in motion the truck suddenly downshifted and caused the engine to rev to max rpms. This resulted in a sudden jolt of the entire vehicle and rapid deceleration. Vehicles traveling behind me had to slam their brakes to narrowly avoid rear ending me because the truck slowed down so suddenly and with no brake lights as a warning. On several occasions in the last 2 days since this happened, the speedometer has acted erratically by going up and down from 0 to highway speed of 60mph while I was traveling with cruise control set at 60. The transmission seems to shift erratically into a gear that would match the speed of where the speedometer indicates even though the true speed is 60mph. These sudden down shifts seem to have damaged my transmission because the truck now has issues going into gear from a stop and will rev to over 4000 RPM without shifting into 1st gear to start moving. Once it's moving, the transmission often shifts erratically when the speedometer acts up. I will not drive the truck anymore except to have it repaired because it is too dangerous.
