**Known Ford recall for this exact issue not attached to my VIN***. While driving (9/20/23) on the highway, a wrench illuminated on my dash, odometer went blank, speedometer went to zero, vehicle attempted to accelerate and struggled to shift; shortly after my wheels locked up then released reducing my speed to about 30 mpg within a short period of time (left skid marks on the highway). I nearly got hit by multiple vehicles. I pulled off the highway and restarted my vehicle. The issue did not immediately return until I began driving. Same indications but I was able to drive a few miles to a Ford dealership. Diagnostics will occur tomorrow morning. Suspected cause is a failed transmission output speed sensor for 6-speed automatic transmission which could automatically shift you into first gear resulting in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash (from a FORD website). For Managment: (great training opportunity) I filed this complaint with your customer service via a phone call. The agent was very rude and hard to talk to. She frequently asked me questions and then would cut me off without letting me answer. If the call was recorded, please listen to it. At the end of the call I informed her of her behavior but she did not reply and hung up. I am filing this report because I am not sure she will submit mine.

My 2013 Ford F-150 recently began experiencing transmission shifting problems. As I accelerated from a dead stop, the transmission would not shift out of first gear. The only short term remedy was to pull over to the side of the road, turn off the ignition, wait for 60 seconds and restart the engine. This worked sometimes, sometimes not. I understand there had been a 2011 thru 2013 Ford F-150 transmission recall in 2019 for identical circumstances. I submitted my VIN to check on whether it had been recalled, only to find it was not among those listed, even though the faulty shifting circumstances were identical to descriptions in the 2019 recall matter. A visit to the local Ford dealership left me without an answer, as I was told they currently had no transmission mechanic. Out of an abundance of caution, I took the truck to a local transmission repair service with a description of my problem and request for an evaluation. The service request resulted in confirmation of a faulty speed sensor, which yielded a fault code of PO722-00 (Output Shaft Speed Sensor Circuit No Signal). The Lead Frame was replaced as a result. Again, I believe my circumstances were identical to those being reported by other 2011 to 2013 Ford F-150 truck owners, on or before the 2019 recall, yet my VIN did not match the recall order. I'm sending along this description of my circumstance, requesting consideration for inclusion of my VIN as part of the 2019 recall of 2011-2013 Ford F-150 with this faulty Speed Sensor/ Lead Frame issue.

I believe the power train is defaulting. It is available for someone to look at if they come to us, as it is not drivable. The safety of my family and other drivers on the road is at high risk, as the truck shuts off while driving at any given moment without warning. The problem has been ongoing ever since we had the transmission software recall issue, "fixed." We have taken the truck back to the Ford manufacturer, Airport Ford in Florence, Kentucky, twice, with no help of getting the issue resolved. The wrench light came on before the problem started. We looked into that by taking it to Airport Ford in florence Kentucky. The issue is still ongoing and we are currently no longer driving the vehicle as it will no longer stay running. This has been going on since we had the truck fixed due to a recall notice we received in 2019 or 2020. I would love to keep the truck and have the issue resolved as it is the only vehicle we own.
