I have owned Ford trucks for over 30 years and have never encountered this problem before last week. I went out to my 2011 F150, that was parked in my private driveway, to go to town. I opened that driver's door, turned the truck on and closed my door. As soon as I closed the door the rear window shattered into a million pieces and fell out. The window was not cracked, chipped, etc... I was so stunned that I didn't think to video or take a picture.
I called my local dealership and spoke to the service manager, Sam Galloway Ford, who was absolutely no help. I then went online and found your site and that is when I found out that I am not the only one that has had this problem. I feel Ford Motor Company needs to address this issue so that they can keep their loyal customers. I have gone on Ford Motor Company's site and submitted a complaint, I hope to hear from them and that they offer answers and hopefully reimbursement for the cost of the replacement window $391.04.
