Received letter on February 2024 regarding recall notice 24S02/NHTSA Recall 24V031. The exterior pillar trim which borders the right side of the windshield flew off while driving on the interstate and could have caused a major accident. We went to our local Ford dealership several times to inquire if they could assist with getting the needed parts in also. I called the vehicle safety hotline and reported this incident (case # 11629172). We were told that someone would be in touch with us and NO ONE HAS RESPONDED TO THIS URGENT AND VERY DANGEROUS INCIDENT!! We are afraid to now drive the vehicle because of the danger of the left exterior pillar trim flying off and causing a major crash critically injuring or killing someone. We do expect a response to this critical issue ASAP!!
I have been waiting 12 months for Ford to provide my local dealer with the parts required to fix the window pillars that can come loose, as referenced in the open recall (24V031000). Several months ago, one of the recalled pillars flew off on the freeway, causing the car behind me to swerve at 70mph. Fortunately, nobody got hurt. My local dealer has tried & tried to get the parts from Ford Motor but still cannot get adequate supply to take care of my recall service. Ford is not doing what they need to do on the parts supply.
The A-Pillar trim (passenger side)became detached as I was driving 60 MPH on [XXX]. I paid $350 to have it repaired at because I wasn-??t aware of the recall at that time.. The repair shop was Inland Empire Collision Riverside, CA 92507 phone 951.788.4860 Several months later the driver side became detached as I was driving [XXX].. I took my car to a trusted mechanic & he informed me of the recall. I went to Raceway Ford dealership and the service rep Edwin Garcia file my claim to have my car repaired as well as my $350 refund.. That was 10 weeks ago.. I got a call from a lady (sorry she didn-??t identify herself) at Raceway (12/27/24) regarding a recall.. I informed her that Edwin had filed my claim and I would like to know the status-?? she replied-??-??give me 10 minutes and I-??ll call you back.. I never got a call back. Meanwhile I can-??t take my SUV to a automated car wash in fear of it leaking water ??'? inside.. Not to mention what a eyesore it is to look ??'? at-?? please put some fire ??"? under there feet to fix the problem that I didn-??t ask for.. I-??m loyal to the USA products because I-??m a small business person & I absolutely know the importance of patronizing USA ?? owned businesses-?? thank you?? Reference NHTSA Safety Recall 24V031. I was notified in February 2024 about the recall and was told the parts would be in at the end of the year. I contacted two dealers and neither has the parts available so they put me on their list to call when they get the parts in. The problem is that the exterior A-pillar trim clip attachments came loose last year on the bottom left side of my windshield. The trim was still attached at the top, but today the whole A-pillar appliqué trim flew off my vehicle while my daughter was driving on the interstate. She said she heard a noise and then saw the trim fly off. She wasn-??t sure at first what happened, but she did provide me a picture of my car with the trim missing (see attached). I am concerned about further damage to my vehicle from snowy wet conditions.

Water leaking in the drivers side frame that goes down the inner column by the dash onto the floor board, leaks above the driver visor, and in the back frame in the trunk of driver side. I have had it checked over by a Ford dealer twice and they claim it was my sun roof-which it is not. When I tried to have it checked again with a non Ford mechanic, it-??s been too cold and rainy so the problem cannot be found. It has gotten worse in my car, water damage to the dash and I get condensation that forms on the inside of my windshield. Thought it occurred due to the windshield guard cover recall but that isn-??t the case.
I have a recall for my vehicle that was issued February 2024. Ford dealership has not fixed it due to the company saying the parts are not available. It is poor business on ford corporate not to furnish the parts and dangerous since it is broken. I am not happy with your business and ready to report this to someone higher up to get it repaired. The dealership can-??t help their customers due to the poor service from corporate.
The drivers side Pilar applique which house the keyless entry came off while driving. It appears it is held on with double sided tape. If it were to fly off it would have posed a problem for other motorists and pedestrians. When looking up for other insidents online found this is a regular occurrence in this vehicle. I was able to double sided tape it again to fix temporary. However it occurs from time to time still. No warning prior to occurance.
I was driving in the Columbia Gorge on highway and the Drivers Keyless entry trim Blew off, and broke in half, the top half hit the car behind me dented his hood and put a nick in his window. I'm very thankful the piece that broke did not cause an accident or kill anyone. The lower half (with the keypad) was flapping in the wind being held on by electrical wires. The keypad blew a fuse, sending me signals that the lift gate was open and I had 4 dogs in the back. Luckily the lift gate did not open, tossing my dogs or belongings on the highway, causing more road hazards.
The black trim piece that is by the door and window (where the keyless entry pad is) flew off while driving. While getting the recall for the other piece, it was observed the other piece on the opposite door is lose as well. When I received the recall, I assumed the piece that flew off was the recall in question. Since the part flew off and the other is lose, I believe it is a safety hazard and apart of the same assembly problem like the piece of trim by the windshield.
Front windshield cowl is made or substandard materials and is cracking. You do a google search or YouTube search and you will see that many are having this exact issue. It is a safety hazard. If the cowl breaks it can surprise or cover the windshield of the driver that can result in injury or death.
In addition to the details involving NHTSA Safety Recall 24V031, any trim at the top of the windshield has either deteriorated or fallen completely off, while the material below the windshield is rotting away. This all makes me worry that the windshield could potentially shatter or come off on the road. I am not sure when the problem occurred or started to occur and I just became aware of it.
The exterior "door entry keypad pillar molding trim" became detached from the vehicle and sent debris into the roadway while traveling on the highway. This component is the door access keypad found on the drivers side door of many Ford vehicles.
There's an open recall, I am not sure this is part of it. This part is falling off LH Door Entry Keypad Pillar and the RH Door Entry fell off while driving and I had to get it replaced. The paint of the hood is also bubbling up and chipping. I thought it was just wear. My step father has a 2016 version and he hardly dives it and it is happening to his too.
The winshield side moulding is coming off. I got a letter and went to the dealer. They said they couldn-??t do anything about it. The left side molding is almost coming off.
The illuminated B Pillar molding strip is coming off on the driver-??s side. It-??s half out. The B Pillar molding on the passenger side has started to come loose. These strips could detach on the highway and cause an accident. They should be included in recall 21532 and NHTSA RECALL 21V537
