While driving the Firestone tires blewout and the tread separated from the rest of the tire causing extensive damage to the quarter panel of the vehicle (Firestone Wilderness AT P235/75R15 had 17000 miles on it). Nlm
The Firestone ATX tires developed flat spots, erratic wear patterns, noise and deterioration at the sidewall at the tread lines, consumer replaced the tires with a set of Firestone ht tires which are starting to develop flat spots like the ATX's did.
Belt failure on all four tires. Spare is new/unused. 'have been babying vehicle driving habits. Tread is good but vehicle wobbles even after an alignment and repeated wheel balancing episodes. Belts are separating. Since I have four used and one unused...it might be good to use these for investigative tests. (tiresize: P235/75R15)( dot number: Tire size: P235/75R15 )
Consumer felt a knocking noise on front passenger's side while driving at 70 mph. Then, pulled over and noticed a hump on tires. Took vehicle to dealer where technician said that tread was separating on three tires. P235/75R15, dot W2hl1py406. The consumer had asked Firestone to include the failed Wilderness AT tires in the recall list since they are similar with ones on recall.
After hearing news hype about tires & checked them noticed that all four tires were cracked or split near or on tread & sidewall casing. Took tires to Firestone retailer & was informed tires will not be exchanged due to not being on recall. There was wear on sidewall & tread. Has invoice with information. Firestone Wilderness AT with 40,000 miles, P235/75R15, dot W2H1.
After inspection of vehicle it was found that two of the Firestone Wilderness AT tires had cracks around the circumference of the tire (dot code W2hl), consumer purchased four new non-Firestone tires and request reimbursemwnt. Nlm
Vehicle was involved in an accident where the left rear Firestone P235 tire experienced tread separation, causing the vehicle to turn 2 360-degree turns, this accident occurred before recall 00T005.
Consumer Firestone tires were faulty causing the vehicle to weave and vibrate while driving, consumer replaced the tires and requested reimbursement but was denied because the tires were purchased from a competitor prior to Aug 9, 2000 (Firestone Wilderness AT).
Consumer is being refused recall (00T-005) reimbursement of the failed Firestone (P235/75R15) tires which were replaced prior to recall notification, the date of replacement does not meet within the recall guidelines.
The Firestone Wilderness AT tire on the vehicle experienced tread separation and blowout prior to recall, consumer is being denied recall (00T-005) reimbursement.
Right front Firestone ATX tire (P235 75 R15) experienced tread separtion causing the vehicle to do a 360 degree turn on the interstate, vehicle sustained damages.
After hearing news on tv checked all the tires. Noticed that cracks appeared around edges where tread meets the casing. Firestone, wilderness, P235/75R15, dot code vnhl with 30,000 miles.
While driving the left front tire tread separated causing loss of control of the vehicle and veered off the highway into a ditch, there were no injurires (Firestone radial ATX P235/75R5). Nlm
Firestone Wilderness AT tires experienced irregular tread wear, tires were noisy and rough, sidewalls are irregular, and tires grab uneven in slow turns.
