The contact owns a 2017 Ford Expedition. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V648000 (Visibility, Electrical System) and 22V150000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds, he noticed a burning odor throughout the vehicle and that the wiring harness would only operate if the wiring in the harness was pressed. Additionally, the contact stated that the blower motor failed, and the back-up camera was distorted and was inoperable. The system failed warning light illuminated. The contact also stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer for the recall repairs however, a system update and control module was replaced with a temporary part but failed again. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacture was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that parts were anticipated to be available by the fourth quarter of 2023. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000. VIN tool confirms parts not unavailable.

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Expedition. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the A/C turned off independently. The A/C failed to turn on until the contact inadvertently touched a wire underneath the dashboard. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the blower motor resistor was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that the A/C was stuck on high and would not turn off or turn down. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V648000 (Visibility, Electrical System) and associated the recall with the failure; however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
