Consumer had found coolant all over engine. Then, had taken vehicle to dealer, where they found out that engine head gasket had cracked, causing vehicle to stall, but did not catch on fire.

When we bought this car, 1999, the head gasket was supposively fixed by robert hutsons, now 2 years it has done it again, and robert hutsons, and Chrysler said because of miles they aren't responsible for fixing this again.
I have been told by the dealer that they are having a great deal of engines of my typ come in for there head gasket. I was also told that Dodge was recalling and paying for the repair for a while but stopped. This car started leaking a very small amount of oil before the warrenty went out but I didn't think it was very serious at the time so I did nothing. Now it is up to 2 qt a week now and will cost me over $800 to repair.
June 2000 - freeze plug popped out of radiator, caused the car to overheat, October 2000 - problems accelerating, December 2000 - learned that needed the head gasket replaced.
Recall 96 V 006 000. Vehicle is leaking oil from galley plug. This vehicle is not included in recall due to VIN. Manufacturer notified. Engine had massive amount of oil leaking, engine caught fire and consumer burned her hand, there was $2800 worth of damage, mecahnic replaced gully plug and head gaskets along with burned hoses and belts, mechanic stated head gasket was leaking very large amounts of oil, also stated that fire was probably related to gulley plug oil leak.
Galley plugs in engine would leak oil. Would need to continuously put oil in vehicle. Have taken vehicle to dealership for repairs, andwas informed that could not do anything because vehicle was out of warranty. Repairs will not be done.
Was driving when the head gasket blewout. Vehicle was parked, and noticed oil leaking out after moving vehicle. Had oil in the water. Took vehicle to mechanic, and problem was diagnosted as head gasket leaking.
Vehicle has leaking head gasket, and was told that gasket was too small which could be causing leak. Consumer must keep checking oil level before it can damage engine.
Consumer has intermittent problems with vehicle stalling and not starting. When vehicle stalls, it loses steering & brakes. Consumer has taken it to 3 different dealers, who couldn't find a remedy. Crankshaft was replaced, but didn't remedy problem. A diagnostic test didn't give a reading.
