Airbag & ABS light came on, no power windows, no radio, would not start, shorted wires in steering column and heat damage to column cover and ignition switch terminals, no fire.
While vehicle stops on a grade brake pedal will lose resistance, and fall to the floorboard. This results in vehicle rolling into an intersection. Also, when attempting to apply the brakes during normal operation, pedal will go to the floor, and brakes fail to slow vehicle. According dealership was unwilling to examine vehicle for this problem and other issues. Please provide any additional information / attachments.
Vehicle started to vibrate at 55 mph. Consumer slowed it down to 35mph, applied brakes and brakes failed. Dealer found brake fluid was contaminated, brake system replaced.
When brakes were applied in a panic stop pedal became hard and released, resulting in extended stopping which caused a collision. Dealer has repaired vehicle several times prior to this incident.
While traveling at 24 to 30 mph consumer tried to turn and steering wheel was locked. Consumer tried to brake there were no brakes. Vehicle hit a pole, and airbags didn't deploy. When consumer contacted dealer for a recall letter received. Dealer had no parts available. Consumer felt this accident was caused because recall problem was not corrected. While waiting for recall parts to arrive at dealer for steering wheel and column the steering wheel locked up causing accident.
Consumer contacted dealer in reference to manufacturer's recall 875/ ABS brake failure. Dealer corrected problem. However, consumer noted that ABS light was still illuminating.
Clock spring in the steering wheel went out at 20-24,000 miles. ABS light would come on/stay on around 26,000 miles, 99 percent of the time. The dealer agreed to pay for the part, but, consumer will have to pay for the labor. They don't know of the cause.
Recall 00V135000/ ABS brakes. After dealer performed recall repairs vehicle started to stall, and the ABS light illuminated while in motion. Consumer stated that the remedy has failed to correct the defect. Manufacturer will be notified.
97V068000/brakes: Vehicle been experiencing ongoing problem with brake failure. Vehicle been to dealer shop on four or more occasions, and condition still is unresolved. Transmission trouble has also occurred several times.
Consume R has only 39,000 miles on vehicle, and has replaced the brakes.dealer said that warranty has been voided because consumer had paid to have it fixed somewhere else. Manufacture was called also to see if the VIN# was matched to a recall. Was informed no recall.
When the brakes are applied the pedal goes to the floor, resulting in extended stopping distance. Also, dealer has replaced the master cylinder and the problem still exists. The manufacturer has been notified.
