When trying to start the car in the past every now in then I would get a one click and no start I tried to shift into neutral and nothing the same, I played with the button by turning g off and back on a few time and it would start and it started to get harder to get it to start and now it will only click and no start, I replaced the battery and starter was checked out and is good all battery ends are new and new battery cables, I know Google is no auto mechanic but the post I have read there is a lot of dodge journeys that has this issue when I called dodge I was told to bring it in and I will be charged, also about every 4th time I hit the door locks from the door as soon as the door shuts the horn beeps 3 times and all the doors unlock, need help please from what I am understanding it's something to do with the anti theft or the neutral safety switch inside the transmission,

The vehicle started vibrating and making noise Brought it to a mechanic and was told the transfer case was broke due to the bolts backing out, something they've never seen before I had it towed to dealership because this happened 4 years ago under warranty Now dodge said it's not covered even though it was already replaced

I bought this car used but it only had 26340 on it and now it is almost to 30000. When driving it sounds as though the motor is knocking, but the oil is fine when checked on. It seems to have difficulty changing gears, sometimes way to fast and it whines other times it struggles to shift gears. Rpms are not steady they are bouncing around high love. When it does get to speed it feels as though the brakes are being appflied. At times the motorwhines because, the gear is to low it starts to get loud and become very hesitant when shifting to the higher gears. Sometimes it feels like the motor or something is going to come offf. There is a bunch of rattling going on. When I do park and turn it off, shortly after it sounds as if there is something running around inside the motor area. I was told it runs great and haven't even put 3000 miles on it. I think it's going to blow up or just die

The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Journey. The contact stated while driving approximately 25 MPH, he became aware that the oil pressure gauge was fluctuating and then the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the oil pressure and engine stall failure had started as an intermittent failure but had become a daily failure. The contact had driven the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed and determined that the transmission pump and transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V461000 (Power Train). The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.

While driving from from grand rapids and arriving to Michigan city, Indiana, I hear a noise that mimicked that of a flat tire. I immediately made a right turn into the parking lot to check each one of my tires, but none of them were low or completely deflated. I drove up a bit to park my vehicle, so I could further investigate and it stalled. When I got out of the vehicle, I smelled a light burning smell coming from underneath tbe vehicle and I just let it sit, while calling my insurance company's roadside assistance to obtain support. I had the vehicle towed back to grand rapids costing me $401 because my insurance only paid up to 15 miles for towing and this drive was approximately a 125 mile drive. Due to covid, I had to pay out of pocket for a ride back to grand rapids as well. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership where I purchased the car back in April 2015 and after the delearship checked to diagnose the vehicle, I received a phone call saying it was my all wheel drive powertrain unit/system and it had busted and was leaking fluid. The quote that the gentleman gave was a whopping $2200 and some change. I really thought I remembered purchasing a powertrain warranty, but is there a way to find out for sure if I did? I would appreciate more guidance on this situation because I am out of thousands of dollars and would love to have some financial assistance, if possible. Also, I wanted to initiate a recall for this because if I had been still on the highway driving, this could have turned out way different and I would hate to hear that others may not be as blessed as I was. I do not have my invoice yet because they are working on fixing my car still. I will save it once I do, if needed. Thank you in advance for investigating this safety concern and have a great day!

There is a U67 by fca recall on my 2014 Dodge Journey which I was not notified by the dealer! I found out about the recall after paying to have the catalytic converter replaced mysel! however my car decided to go into a limp mode which it has done since I purchased the vehicle in 2013 but this time it is staying in limp mode so I researched recalls, there is also T47 and U49 when I towed my vehicle to the dealer they informed me the converter I had put on does not meet standards and they were going to replace it again and also do the other two recalls as well and then they informed me they could not do the U49 or U67 because the vehicle does not have the original engine! they told me and gave me documentation that the only recall done was T47 however they reported to fca that the U67 was complete when in fact it has not been completed! the vehicle is stuck in limp mode because it needs the PCM flashed and they will not do the recall U67 or U49 on my vehicle and sent me away to drive the vehicle 89 miles home in limp mode! this vehicle had had a PCM issue since I bought it in 2013 causing a number of unsafe malfunctions I mentioned in complaint # 11337435 and 11337440! this vehicle needs to be taken off the road and a new vehicle given to me free of charge or money back! fca needs to know U67 has not been completed on my vehicle,

Problem started with 2014 didge Journey SXT going into limp mode. Code that appeared were throttle body sensor, changed that. It went into limp mode immediately after and code was throttle body, changed that. It went into limp mode immediately again. Same codes. Sent to shop they said it was the transmission, $220 for an overhaul of that. 2 to 3 weeks after, limp mode again. Same codes. Brought it to Dodge dealership and the diagnosis it saying I need a new PCM and wire harness. Those items were replaced. 2 to 3 weeks after that work. Car goes into limp mode again while on the hwy. Car is currently at Dodge dealership again, now they're saying it's the starter causing the problem. This issue has been since July 2019 and is still ongoing, last limp mode was Sunday December 15, 2019. I have tons of documentation of the work that has been done please advise if you should need any

There's a few recalls on my 2014 Dodge Journey AWD SXT that I've called and they said they don't have the parts and to call back in a few months. I just called now and they gave me the loop around transferring me to the front then back to service where I was placed on hold and then it rang to the front desks number and I had to leave a voicemail. Totally incompetent. This is at the Dodge dealership in Colorado springs.

2014 Dodge Journey. Consumer writes in regards to water stains on back cargo liner caused by water leaks from antenna base/ back washer hose/rear harness grommet and other locations. Consumer has concerns of electrical problems. The consumer stated while driving a clunk was heard and the vehicle began to shake. When the gas pedal was depressed the engine just revved and would not shift gears. A few days later the vehicle would no longer move, leaving the driver stranded. A spring popped in the transmission causing the torque converter to fail. A week later the transmission began leaking fluid. A bushing and seal cracked. The vehicle was repaired. The consumer would like to have the vehicle bought back in full. Updated 06/14/2017

We purchased a 2014 Dodge Journey on 8/04/2016 under the assumption that the vehicle was certified. We eventually got the dealer to agree for us to bring the vehicle back to be certified and address all the other concerns. We picked the vehicle up in NY, heading home to pa and the car caught on fire while driving on the highway with my wife, our only daughter, two youngest sons, and myself. We were stranded, the dealer and manufacture did nothing including the warranty company. Although, the vehicle had factory, we just purchase the vehicle including "required warranty" for $2000, we were denied any assistance from Dodge and the dealership. We have been in constant contact with the dealer via different mediation and to this day, we are still on our own with out a vehicle that is safe to drive.
