Horn honks randomly will driving or turned off/parked. Windows go up/down on their own. Locks/unlocks. wipers turn on/off. Emergency flashers turn on/blink all on their own. Appears to be an issue with security system. Replaced TIPM and still having issues with all of the above. My truck is dead every day, replaced battery twice & crack shaft sensor, still having issues. There is a ticking noise and sounds like my truck is trying to turn itself on without the key in the ignition. Airbag light will not go off. This vehicle is 13 years old and Dodge needs to do a recall for all the issues people are reporting.
The airbag light came on intermittently but now has stayed permanently. The suspension of the car become almost uncontrollably bouncy with the slightest dip or hump on the road. The bouncing continues for a couple miles and at times does make steering difficult. The tires are 4 months old and the car has been serviced at regular intervals.
The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to turn off even after removing the ignition key. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that occasionally the vehicle would shut off while driving at various speeds without warning. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V373000 (Electrical System, Air Bags) which she linked to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 193,410.
UNKNOWN but airbag light will not go off and everything possible has been looked at and was told that with the light on on the dash, the airbag will not deploy.
I just purchased a 2010 dodge journey. It has not been in an accident. This morning when getting in my car, I noticed the active headrest restraint has been deployed. I was not in an accident. The car with sitting in my driveway overnight.

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while driving, the horn randomly started honking independently. The air bag and TPMS warning lights were illuminated. The contact was concerned for her safety. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 171,000.
The horn keeps going off on its own and I've taken it to the dealership many times and they still haven't fixed it and I've done research and it also has something to do with the airbag deteriorating.
Power steering return hose broke off causing no steering. Clock spring in steering wheel broke causing horn to go off by itself and air bag warning light to stay on.
I walked outside to my Journey and the passenger side front headrest was deployed with no occupancy at the time. The little black clips are broken and I cannot pull it back down to disengage.
The headrest on our 2010 Dodge Journey popped open as we were driving down I-20. No accident, no bump in the road, no sudden stop... it just sprung open and smacked my husband in the back of the head.
I was driving down the road and all of a sudden the driver airbag light came on, it would then shut off and then ding and turn back on, it did this for several miles before it just stayed on. Another incident that has happened several times is that all the dash indicator lights come on while I'm driving, it puts my car in limp mode, I then have to pull over, shut the car off and then restart it for it to be ok again. This is a real safety concern as well, I could crash and get in a serious accident and I typically have my young kids with me. I searched my VIN to see if the recalls have been done and from what I can see they have, so I don't know if this is a reoccurring electrical issue or if this is something new.
My brother was driving my Dodge Journey I was the front passenger and my cousin was in the back we were hit from the rear and we rode over two and a half time airbags did not deploy on either side and we also substaned injuries I myself was in the hospital four days and I am still out of work to this day
24/7 constant horn and anti theft alarm goes off. Air bag light flashes while driving an horn/alarm blare. Driving on the I10 highway in Arizona West bound horn began going off at two semi truck drivers who hit their breaks to avoid a warning honk. Had to pull over with police officers to remove horn fuses to stop. Driving on streets, sitting at a red light goes off. Sitting at a stop sign turned on, turned off. Car armed for security an no one around. Vehicle not locked doors shut alarm an horn go off lights flashing. Dirt road, approximately 8:47pm Sept 2018 horn blares off causing cyclist to verge off path an directly onto road car struck bicycle trapping it under vehicle an dragging it 14feet bicyclist was able to jump off in time. Police report was given insurance was notified. Job onsite security numerous times in the past 11months has notified myself of the constant blaring.
The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Journey. While operating the vehicle, the horn randomly sounded. The failure also occurred while the vehicle was shut off and the key was removed from the ignition switch. In addition, while driving, the passenger side air bag indicator remained illuminated. The failures were not diagnosed or repaired. The local dealer (dunes auto, 2502 locust street, sterling, il) was notified, but no assistance was offered. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 30,000.
The horn blows by itself, while driving and while sitting in the garage unoccupied. It has shut off while driving in heavy traffic and I had to put it in neutral to restart it. The aur bag light has come on and apparently in the words of my mechanic "I can't find anything wrong with it". the air and heat stopped working in the back of the vehicle last year. The check engine light goes on and off. I've had it towed to the shop twice because it would not start, just to be told it cranked right up once at the shop and again "I can't find anything wrong with it". it doesn't accelerate like it's supposed to when taking off, jerks and lags, and once accelerated it continues to jerk and lag.
