The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Journey. On several occasions, while driving at low speeds, the vehicle stalled. The contact had to wait a while before the vehicle would function normally. In addition, when unlocking the vehicle, the alarm would sound until the engine was started. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 14V373000 (electrical system, air bags), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.

I just had to replace the ignition switch, knowing other Dodge Journeys had a recall, but of course not mine, yet there are so many complaints about electrical issues with my specific model I have no clue why they were not recalled! to add insult to injury this may or may not fix the issues I'm having. My airbag light goes on and off randomly and often leaving my car and family vulnerable. My etc and traction control lights along with my engine light come on randomly and throw my car into limp mode while im on the highway with kids in the car. The lights clear themselves out when I turn the car off then on... so it has been impossible to diagnose but has made me susceptible to break downs and near death experiences. The electrical issues in this car have been many and quite expensive...the latest bill was $750 & most likely did not fix the problem. I will never buy another Dodge product. Thos is an unreliable vehicle that is quite dangerous to drive!

Air bag light goes on at certain times, and the horn goes on all by it's self while the vehicle is sitting with out running, and while driving, I had to remove the fuse to stop the horn from going off on it's own, but now I have no horn and that is a safety issue

Without warning, the horn starts blaring, whether we are in the car or not. This happens daily! had to take the fuse out that controls the horn! the alarm would start blaring at night and will not go off, wearing the battery down if we do not hear it in the garage, which is not attached to the house. I have read countless other people with the same problem! not having a horn is dangerous, and I'm not sure if the air bag is affected! Dodge wants $105 to check the problems, and approximately $400 to repair, per the service manager at the dealership. No help from manufacturer!

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Journey. While driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and removed the key from the ignition. The contact was able to restart the vehicle, but the failure recurred numerous times. In addition, each time the vehicle stalled, the key had to be removed from the ignition to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the vehicle could not be diagnosed unless the failure occurred while in their possession. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V373000 (electrical system, air bags). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 76,719. Updated 10/17 consumer stated spitzer & Chrysler was unable to confirm issue when running diagnostics as the issue did not happen while they had the car to test. Car stops while driving without warning. It starts up once key faub is taken out and put back in ignition. Consumer has to coast to a stop as all mechanical devices shut down & wheel becomes difficult to move. Updated 9/27/18
