The lock on the right side sliding door panel does not latch. The door Manually closes but will not lock when pressing the automated lock/unlock buttons from both the driver and passenger sides and the car remote.
I am a paraplegic. I drive an adapted van with hand controls that include a Sure-Grip A600 spinner knob. This is equipment purchased from and installed by my mobility vehicle dealer, and is intended to allow operating the steering wheel with one hand so that the other can operate the throttle and brake, as well as other controls. Today while driving and making a hard turn, the plastic knob pulled off the shaft of the mount, causing me to lose control of the van and have a serious accident. This appears to be a clear case of defective product design as the plastic knob was merely pressed onto the shaft. The shaft and mount for it did not shift or move, but the knob pulled off. There were no features on the shaft to aid in retaining the knob beyond a friction fit.
Suden oil filter housing leak which lead to oil light eliminating within 8000 miles. Oil pools in engine crevice, hiding leak. Repair shop stated it-??s a known Dodge issue seen monthly.
The driver-??s side rear sliding door does not work properly. There is a loud buzzing noise when the car is in motion and the door does not open all of the time. Now, passengers are forced to get out of the vehicle on the passenger side.

There are multiple whirring and clicking noises in the walls of the cargo area, mostly in passenger side. This happens when I lock/unlock the auto, and close the doors. I also hear what sounds like a moan coming from the dash, at least 2-3 times after I've closed and locked it, from the inside. I just purchased it used, with around 98k miles on it.
Noticed oil where I normally park my vehicle. Took the van into a mechanic so he could look at it. He stated that the oil leak came from a broken/ cracked oil filter housing. Which he also stated it was an issue among multiple Grand Caravans that have been brought in. It did not give me a warning and the mechanic said if it would have fully broken I could have lost all oil and my engine could have seized up. Which poses a concern considering it is my daily driver and it did not warn me about low oil. I-??ve also taken it to the same repair shop for issues with the fuel injectors and coils. Which could be an issue because that caused stalling while I was driving on the highway.
My van was parked in my driveway overnight and both of the headrests deployed. I am grateful I was not driving it. I couldn-??t get them to close they are stuck open. When called dealer was told was not covered even though I have Mopar coverage. Since it-??s so much to fix it out of pocket the safety feature is virtually useless because I can-??t have it fixed.
Passenger side sliding door suddenly stopped opening. It will not unlock using the remote, car door buttons, or manually. This presents a safety issue for back seat passengers. If the other door fails, the will be unable to exit the vehicle without climbing over the seats to use the front door. This could be deadly in an emergency. There was no warning, it simply stopped working. In my research, I came across many other Dodge Caravan owners who complain of the same issue. Repair prices have been quoted $1000-1500.
Sliding doors have stopped working. Doors are stuck in locked position. Cannot open even manually. Happened first on passenger side now on drivers side.
Rear passenger sliding door actuator failed. This is a COMMON problem with these vehicles and poses an extremely dangerous safety risk when an owner is unable to open/close the door and when the door opens on its own due to failed lock actuator. This poses a risk for fire safety, wreckage safety to exit vehicle and poses significant risk to person's riding in the seat while the door can open spontaneously. There is also a risk factor because the door cannot LOCK or UNLOCK (depending on which position the door gets stuck in when the part fails). Thousands of owners of these specific vehicles are asking for a recall for safety reasons.
Faulty actuator, doors make a sound when unlocking and now resulting in one door not opening. The noise happens all of the time (park or going) just the unlock button has to be pressed.
Passenger side front headrest is popped out. Not exactly sure when it happened, because I didn't notice until someone sat in the seat and complained how uncomfortable it was for their head. It had to have happened sometime between 12/1/20 and 12/4/20.
My HVAC system is not working properly. We checked to see if the HVAC recall was performed and my dealership ship says it was a minor part that was fixed, but everything I read on the 2016 recall says a huge recall was performed on the HVAC system. My dealership says the recall isn't warranty applicable and therefore I have to pay out of pocket! my ac is blowing hot and it continuously will change from ac to recirculate to no ac on its own. It's all apart of the program that is supposed to be warrantied. It's dangerous to not have adequate ac while stopped at a stop light in Colorado while it's so hot here. My ac blows hot on the passenger side and when completely stopped or slow speeds, it gets hot. Only stays cold while going faster speeds. Dealership refuses to replace the recalled parts from 2016 stating they aren't under lifetime warranty. Please help!
The actuator on the passenger sliding door was making a buzzing noise for a few weeks and then the door just froze shut. After googling some things, this is a common problem on these vehicles and it should be a recall!!! I am letting the several others know to file a complaint as well.
Driver's side sliding door will not open manually, with key fob or overhead push button. Door remains locked at all times making it impossible for passengers to exit vehicle though that door in case of an emergency.
I changed my battery in my van and now the ac doesn't work and it seems like I smell coolant burning and when I'm driving between 40 to 50 it's very sluggish. And I had to have an auto shop check my transmission fluid cuz it felt like my transmission was slipping. And when they checked it they said I was really low on transmission fluid but they don't know where the transmission fluid going.
Vehicle, stationary, car does not start on the first try if it sits for over 4 hours. Cranks then stalls, or cranks over and over until eventually catching. New: Car battery, battery tender/charger, new/upgraded spark plugs, new/upgraded ignition coils. Appears to be tipm failing. Has been getting progressively worse over the past few weeks.
